Hp pentium. Has a Celeron d processor. 1.3 ghz at the max. Idk exact
704 mb of ram. Idk why it is that weird # though I think I have 2 512 mb cards on it
On board gnu can't play minecraft but has 128 mb of onboard mem. Got a card that can now play minecraft on lowest setting with loads of lag as it only has 32 mb of memory. Idk specs of it
Have a 60 gig sata 3.0gb/s hard drive that came with it and an 80 gig IDE from an old comp
And windows xp
New build is phenom II 6core processor. 1100t black edition 3.3 ghz
Gigabyte mobo
8 gigs of ddr3 1333 ram(best that processor supports)
a 500 gb sata hd 6 gb/s
Win 7(I prefer xp but can't make it work with a new motherboard)
A case with a 430 watt psu
And then Zotac
ZT-50401-10L NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1024MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card which should handle everything I try and throw at it.
So current comp is terrible. When I get my new comp in a month or so it will be freaking amazing

In a month or so the Bulldozers will be out so you'd might as well ditch the Phenoms for the Bulldozers or maybe an i5 from Intel.

Alienware is the Apple of the Windows world... You pay 2, even 3 times the amount it would cost normally to build your own computer, all for an alien head logo.
they're good parts actually. they may not be excellent parts are great parts but for what i paid for them they are petty good. if you read what i posted whats new is the cpu , motherboard, ram, OS, case, graphics card. are the other stuff is what i had from a previous build like i said i had a budget. and i dont need or want some overpriced cpu + graphics card to play 1 game when i know this rig ive built is good for a few years like i said not the greatest rig but its a good rig.
i7 is ofc great.
Well 8GB RAM is good, but 1600MHz would be better.
The GTX 560 is a good card, but id rather the 560ti...
Difference between i7 and the i5 is that the i7 has Hyperthreading. Which doesn't help at all in gaming.
There is literally no difference in speed with the 1333MHz RAM and 1600MHz RAM. So it'd be better to get 1333MHz RAM.
The GTX 560 is a re-branded GTX 460, has 336 Shader Cores as opposed to the GTX 560 Ti's 384 Shader Cores, so yes the GTX 560 Ti is hell of a lot better.
? Nope it wont run well or what? I don't really see any cards that out perform it for 160$ and only require one pcie (or however u spell it) power conector
On a separate note I'm now only getting 1 fps on lowest settings I think that's a new low for game playing for me. Even without mods at all its only 9-15 fps.

The GTX 550 Ti on which you plan to buy won't handle everything your throw at it. In fact, a GTX 460 even beats that piece of **** of a Card. If wanna card that can handle everything your throw at it, I suggest dropping Phenom II X6 1100T and get a Phenom II X4 955 BE and change the Graphics Cards to Nvidia GTX 560 Ti 1GB or a AMD Radeon 6950 1GB. Both will be able to handle anything your throw at it, meaning it'll be able to Max out all the newest games with no problem..

Also i have NO gpu or sound card.
Good thing in December I'm getting a real gaming computer.(Alienware)
Also LOL the best thing on the list is alienware
Why the **** would you buy an Alienware?
They're shiny, ofcourse.
Alienware is the Apple of the Windows world... You pay 2, even 3 times the amount it would cost normally to build your own computer, all for an alien head logo.
Just like pokemon cards.
You by 'em, have 'em for shits and giggles, then throw them away after a while.
It's really not that cheap. Just because it's got an i7 doesn't make it expensive :smile.gif:
Well, looking at the rest of his components, they aren't so good.
Keep thinking that.

If I were you, I'd drop the X6 to a Phenom II X4 955 and get a better GPU instead.
