yeah everyone doesnt own an i5 or i7 not everyones rich.pentium IV's ARE good, you just gotta mess around with the settings until you find one perfect.like me with my core2Duo for example.i can run minecraft maxed no problem with faithful32x texture pack
The Pentium 4's are awful nowadays. If you want to go cheap you will get much better performance out of a cheap APU or one of the Sandy Bridge Pentiums or Celerons. There is really no reason to get outdated hardware when there are already really cheap options out there.

You're wrong.Pentium IV can handle more RAM.I upgraded to 3Gbytes of ram,now games can work faster on windows 7.It's actually 4 gbytes but 32bit systems don't support 4gbytes of ram.I guess i'll have to install a 64bit system. But i won't,i'm okay with 3gbytes of ram.
and i can lob 128GB onto a pentium, doens't mean it'll all be used before the system chokes because the processor is constantly maxed
My computer is a thinkpad (Ugh..)
- 4 gb ram
- 32 bit operating system (Only 3 gb ram is usable, Thanks for not thinking about the customer, Lenovo,
- Intel Core 2 Duo CPU @ 2 GHz
- Don't know anything about graphics card (Must suck because I can only play games at up to 25 fps
This might seem good to some of you, but it really sucks. My Xbox 360 is way better.

Have you installed the patches from Microsoft yet(assuming they are not already added to Windows updates)? Some users have reported near 20% gaing in processor performance with them.
Haven't heard about that. Wasn't under Windows Update for me, which means it's either already installed, or it's not there. Links, please?

Its overkill for gaming but I use it for video/photo editing and 3d modeling so the extra muscle/memory comes in handy. Runs skyrim at 120fps on ultra settings, so I have no reason to upgrade for a while.

I'm curious, what would be equivalent to two 6870's?
First, why do you have so many builds? Second, why in the world would you put a 2600k on an H67 mobo and then put an i3 on a Z77 mobo? I'm also confused as to why you went with four 2GB sticks on the i3 build rather than get two 4GB sticks since it uses a dual-channel configuration...
