I recently got a job and I wanted to save up 500$ for a decent gaming desktop even though I don't understand anything about pcs. http://m.ebay.com/itm/301006956160?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1 is the pc I was looking at and I'm wondering of its a decent pc for gaming and work. Thanks and if you have any other suggestions, remember I can not build a pc myself.
Lazyness in it's purest form. Takes an hour to build.
Ok, the only prob is there are a TON of different parts that can be used, people will argue about which is better. However if you can tell me how to build it that would be swell I guess. Idk how to find guides for this stuff(how to actually build it)
Can't really get much better than that for the price range. OP, it really isn't difficult to build your own PC, we recommend that people do so for a reason. It's a great learning experience, and provided you follow a guide properly, it's very hard to make a mistake.
Is there a way I could upgrade the ram to 8 gb or there is no point to it? I would like to know so I know if I have enough power to run some programs. Thanks(Ignore this post, pretty much just a repost due to net)
I don't know why they are trying to make you build a PC. Price looks good. If you are just buying a pre-built one get it locally like a Sam's Club or something. They would have the same deals.

Can anyone give me an estimate on how this pc should run games and work applications as? This will not effect my decision I just want to know so I can get prepared
Sorry I meant Costco. I bet you if you use this http://www.costco.co....100078822.html or build what they suggest, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
To be honest idk what to do anymore I want to settle on a decision by tomorrow though so I can get prepared for shopping.
I built my own PC and spent around ~1500 to get it exactly the way I wanted it but if things do not go smoothly, it can get frustrating. You could go either way. It's really up to you.

If you decide to build, sounds like there are very helpful people here. If you don't, doesn't mean you chose wrong.

Also make sure you buy the extended warranty just in case it blows up.
