Oh yes, and I would absolutely never allow anything of theirs into an enterprise environment. They simply do not create products for the enterprise market, and people shouldn't try to shoehorn them into such an environment.
Tell that to the guys who boss IT around. z_z
Every medium sized, growing business I go into:
"Should we upgrade everything to mac pros? I heard they're good" No, you do not need them for your spreadsheets and MSWord.
"Maybe we should get rid of the computer and use ipads instead, it's so much easier!" That's a great idea, considering your employees are barely trained enough to send an email and use Word 97, and you don't want to pay any more for training.

AND DO NOT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON SCHOOLS!
The art department got 20 new iMacs.
I literally couldn't even handle it. They needed new computers, but really? Freaking 20 new pretty toasters? It annoys me to no extent when a school is under some illusion that Macs are easier and better. The IT department spent 2 weeks to get them all working.
Mac =/= artistic. How many times do I have to explain that to people.

I always wanted to argue with a brick wall, I suppose the internet is the second best option.

Oh wow schools. Recently my whole school discovered Minecraft, and we have new computers with HD4000 graphics so its very much playable. And when I say whole school, I mean football team and everything. Haha, anyways I was told by my lab teacher today that I can't play minecraft anymore because it "Frys the CPU and destroys the Hardrive." Ridiculous. Anyways, I have an iPhone 4 and after I jailbroke it it is pretty good, would still rather have S3 or even 4. Ipods are nice, and have 0 competition. As for laptops and iMacs, never will I buy one.
With the exception of the science buildings (who need Windows to run specific software) my entire school is populated with iMacs and old Macbooks. However, these aren't your everyday iMacs, these are stripped down to just the essentials. Slow as hell. They are also the older ones, because the school district has rules about how large the screen has to be.
Oh, did I complain about the keyboards yet?
EVERYWHERE
Also, completely off topic but continuing my school-district rant, my school district is too lazy to rewrite their horrible security and filter software, so Windows 7 (and 8 now I guess) aren't allowed on any school computers. Because of this, all of the Windows 7 towers are downgraded to XP.

Legal reasons, liability reasons, tech support reasons, because administrations never think "free" means good (most expensive always means better), and a ton of other reasons.
Mainly though, bureaucracy.
And because the higher ups think they know everything about IT.
On a side note I'm amazed this thread has lasted this long.
If you're not completely brain-dead then you will see my OP which states that I do not want Apple haters posting on this thread and I certainly don't want an argument about Mac vs PC. I simply wanted people who LIKE Apple to post and discuss their products.

Ever notice that 90% of windows threads are closed in 5 seconds?
yay for under budgeting the (if even existing) IT department...
i guess someone in the school board decided that hiring a programmer or even just buying proper off the shelf security software is too expensive... until they realize windows XP will be End of Life.. NEXT YEAR.
and trust me.. upgrading all machines to windows 7 AND having to install proper security software is a LOT more expensive then doing upgrades in proper time frames..
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is accurate. The thing that annoys me about that is that I go to a tech magnet school, built three years ago, where we have no sports in exchange for better computers. If we don't have sports, at least let us have good computers.
That is an extremely old Apple keyboard. I don't think the new ones do that.
I know, I wanted to include an image for comic value but couldn't find a good one for the newer keyboards. Trust me, though those keyboard may be good, they aren't designed to have a ton of kids using them so extensively every day.

I absolutely love my Late 2011 Mac Mini. I upgraded to 8GB of RAM, and it can now play Minecraft at 60 FPS with OTHER STUFF running in the background! Before, it still ran Minecraft at 60 FPS, but not with other programs running.... It's a beautiful machine. So small and smooth... I've got it connected to two wall-mounted DELL monitors, a nice webcam, and my flash drive. It's completely silent (unless I work it really hard) and never shows the spinning wheel EVER. I'm completely serious. I also just recently got an iPhone 4, and I love that too. Before, I had an iPhone 3GS and a iPod 4, and my only issue ever was that the 3GS was a bit unresponsive to touch after startup.
Let's start with paragraph one, sentences 1-2 (under the "The Mac" section). Foxconn. The company with a average suicide rate in its workers that is.....actually much lower than the Chinese national average suicide rate. I won't deny the sweatshop accusations, but if you want to scream at Apple for using Foxconn, you may want to consider that:
Most major tech companies use Foxconn. Acer, Amazon, Cisco, Dell, Google, HP, Microsoft, Motorola, Nintendo, Nokia, Sony, Toshiba, Vizo, MSI, EVGA, Intel, IBM, Lenovo, Logitech, GoPro, Netgear, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, and many more.
Apple is (so far) the biggest (and pretty much the only) company in that list being slammed for using Foxconn, while they are also the only company in that list who has actually been working with Foxconn to improve locations.
Paragraph one, sentence three. I disagree with the inferior comment (unless you're talking about Mac Pros), and the price increase is nowhere near 3x (unless you're talking about Mac Pros). There's also a justification for the price in the form of hardware features and the OS. It's not for people who want to run Windows.
Paragraph two, sentence two. You can say the same thing about Linux, but I don't see anyone whining about that, do I? Derp.
Paragraph two, sentence 3-4 - wooah, how old is this picture? Ms Office for Mac has been out for quite some time. And last time I checked, Office cost roughly the same for OSX or Windows.
Paragraph two, sentence five. Whaat? There's a bunch of games that run on OSX (more than Linux!), the OS has no inherent disadvantage over Windows (unless you could the exclusion of DirectX, but that's proprietary), it works quite fine with offices, there are many great IDEs for OSX and in fact it's considered better than Windows for many forms of development due to the UNIX-certified backend, and I have no clue why people would claim it's worse for 3D modeling when most of the popular tools work quite fine on it.
Paragraph two, sentence six. Again, this is outdated. Apple follows the same model as Microsoft when it comes to software updates, they only charge for OS updates, and they charge a fee that is FAR lower than what Microsoft charges. As for DRM, I'm not sure what part this guy's mad at. iTunes music is DRM-free, and both OSX and Windows have limited DRM to prevent OS piracy (actually, OSX has quite weak OS DRM).
Paragraph three. Buzzwords are a fine point, but dismissing things like their so-called "retina" displays simply because of the name they use to market them is ridiculous. Apple currently is the only company selling a laptop with a screen resolution above 1080p (excluding the Pixel, as it is incapable of matching either OSX or Windows in features and functionality, and has extremely nerfed hardware).
Subpanel 2 (viruses) — This has already been proven false. If the obscurity arguement was true, then why are there not gazillions of exploits for Linux, Apache, Nginx, etc? Those are used on the vast majority of servers in the world, and yet they are far less exploits for them than there are for other, less important targets.
And of course, the claim that viruses are ignored is twisting the truth at best, and a blatant lie at worst. If this was true, Apple's malware database and built-in limited malware removal/detection tool would not exist. If this was true, they'd have never blacklisted Java.
Subpanel 6 ("Why Apple is a bad company") — #1 is no different from Microsoft, #2 is quite hilarious (did you notice that Google removes ad blockers from the Play store? Haha.), #3 is outdated (music DRM on iTunes no longer exists and has not existed for a very long time), #4 is quite true but also true of many other companies, #5 has some truth to it but isn't a major concern, #6 has some merit, #7 is an opinion and not fact, #8 has some truth, #9 is wrong, #10 is mostly wrong, #11 is quite funny but also mostly wrong, #12 is both right and wrong (done by other companies as well).
So yeah. Don't use that guide as ammo, it's outdated and poorly written.

iTunes music wasn't always DRM free, and Apple only changed it after an antitrust suit was launched in the US in addition to a similar lawsuit launched by multiple EU states. So thank the US and EU regulatory bodies for that bit of freedom because Apple wasn't going to give it up without being threatened.

Exactly. If your going to come up with some stupid reason for us to quit playing it, think of something reasonably believable.
