So for about a month now i've had the SRH440's, They are a very good pair of headphones for a very low price of $100.
The setup im using at the moment is a Asus Xonar DG in my computer.
PS. I'm no audiophile or expert with headphones so if i do say something wrong, let me know
Sound
The low, mids and highs on the SRH440 are great and don't drown out each other.
Lows:The bass is a bit lacking sometimes but i think is great since it has a very clear and crisp bass. 8/10
Mids: I think the mids are pretty much what you would expect from any decent pair of headphones, nice and clear. 9/10
Highs: I think this is where the SRH440's really shine. When you hear vocals they are so clear and clean. Also when you hear synths in EDM they are also nice and clear. 9/10.
Personlly for Hardstyle and other Hard Dance genres theses sound great. The kicks sound so nice and crunchy but also still have the bass as you would expect from a kick. These do sound kinda bad though with Nu-Style kicks with them sounding like dongs half the time due to them having hardly any sub-bass. You can really pick out each sound individually with these headphones.
Build Quality
The build quality on these are great, they are made out of a hard dense plastic with a nice hard but comftable headband
Comfort
This is where the SRH440 falls. The pads on the ear cups are slightly uncomftable but after a while of using them, you get used to it. My ears are pressed right against the cloth on the ear pads ontothe actual ear cups themselves and can get a bit sore after around 5 hours of use.
Sound Card vs On Board Audio.
If you do buy a pair of these i would highly advise you to buy a sound card as these require some decent power to sound great or they will sound muddy and distorted through On Board Audio.
Gaming
Personally i think these are good for gaming, other people might say otherwise but i think theses are good enough.
