About a month ago a friend asked me to repair their Iphone screen, which they had dropped and cracked. I ordered the replacement parts and such and preformed the repair. When I turned on the Iphone all I got was a blank white screen. What could I have done wrong to cause this?
Not everyone likes Android WinCamXP... Perhaps his friend prefers iOS.
Anyways, OP, the digitizer might be faulty, or you may have damaged it. At this point, it'd be rather hard to figure out the source of the problem — it might be a better idea to replace the phone entirely.

Not trying to start a flamewar, but what ISN'T to like about Android? You don't need any form of antivirus or anything if you're not downloading creepy obscure apps with Google translate descriptions...if you stay with mostly-mainstream stuff, you're fine.
Harder to use? What a joke. It's just ever-so-slightly different, which scares people away. Stupid. Sometimes it's actually EASIER to do things
Not as pretty? Personally, I like the Android GUI more, but if it's really that important, download a custom launcher themed to look like iOS.
Widgets, custom launchers, and non-stock apps that you can actually set to be used as default. The drop-down menu originated with Android, Apple obviously copied that. Not sure why Google isn't suing apple for that, after all the other crap Apple's pulled...
If you're the nerdy type, it's got a lot more nice tools and whatnot that are usually free (emulators, SSH clients, FTP/torrenting clients, just general nerdy tools and gadgets) - plus, since developing for it is easier and cheaper, things like scientific calculators are more common and more robust - plus, a lot of things are free on Android where their equivalent is not on iOS.
It's just downright better in pretty much every way. I have no idea why you'd choose iOS over Android for anything. Seriously, tell me why. You can't make a proper decision without extensively using both platforms, which I have. If you haven't, go use an Android right now.

And I could say the same thing about iOS. It's personal preference, nothing more.
My father went with Android instead of the iPhone. He hates it, and the phone is (literally) junk. I've used it a few times, I think the OS is decent, but I personally prefer iOS.
To each their own. Both operating systems have their pros and cons.
However, since you insist on arguing some key points:

Jailbreak and you'll have all that, and for the drop-down menu, I'm pretty sure there are quite a few companies who made those before Android did.

Emulators = jailbreak, ssh client = app store, FTP = app store or jailbreak, torrent = jailbreak, etc tools/gadgets = app store or jailbreak.
$100 isn't a lot of money to pay yearly, and you can develop (but not publish) apps without paying it.
Scientific calculators are both common and useful on both platforms.

Well, thank you all for YOUR USELESS REPLIES! All I had to do was restart the thing. However the touch-pad still doesn't work but that could just be a miss-placed wire. I have never used an Android. I assume it's a fine system, but right now I have an iPod and intend on keeping it.

The touch pad doesn't work?
Have you tried putting it into DFU mode then restoring?

No need to DFU or any of that stuffing! It was simply that a cable didn't like to lock in properly. It's fixed and is working as it had before. The center buttons a bit funny but that's because I put the front cover on odd. So, once again, Thanks for nothing!
If it's an iPhone 3Gs, there is 0 support for it now from Apple since it reached end-of-life. You'll need to send it for repair. Personally, don't bother. Some money should be saved up to get a new one.

What part of "it's fixed and works like before" don't you understand!

"Inter-Workings"
Also, make a new forum account without "Apple" in the name.
You'll never want to go back once you've used an Android.

You could say the same for iOS — skin it to look like Android with Winterboard if you want.

If you can't contribute something to solve the problem, not sell it away, please do not post. It is a waste of time to the OP and everyone else.
Could be a problem with the LCD. Did you replace this as well? Or just the front glass?
Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
The touch pad doesn't work?

yes i did replace the LCD, that is why i was so concerned. a faulty, $30 LCD screen that took 27 days to deliver. It wasn't the LCD thank goodness!
