You don't need a cooler. It's a locked processor, so you can't overclock it.
You can get cheaper ram too.

The Commies count their quarters and the ArtSci wish they could, the Engs have the longest pole and slam it home for good, so big, so hard, so tall, it reaches all the way to heaven, so shut your hole, we climbed the pole, we're sci 1 ing 7!!!
I found a nice looking build on another thread for 600 dollars. I decided I would base my build upon that, upgrade some parts, and I would have my gaming computer.
Decent... I think you'd get more out of this though!
I took out the mouse and keyboard and replaced them (along with other things) with much more practical components, but if you really like them it'll go over $1000
Replaced the CPU with a more powerful one, as well as the mobo. Removed the cooler. kept the ripjaws, but replaced the 1600 with 1333 (almost no performance difference). Went for a more powerful GPU. Cheaper & newer case. More reliable PSU. And again, much more practical keyboard and mouse, but thats your choice if you would like to go for them.

I see, it is slightly over my budget, like I said, not bothering with rebates, but that looks excellent.
Yes, that is better, but I am not going to bother with rebates, so I need the price before rebates.
That is the price. No rebates.

I'd suggest you to throw out that monitor if you already have one. Wait a few months, get few houndred extra bucks and buy a huge one. I've bought 32'' LG full hd tv for a bit over 400$ over a year ago, now I see they have a 1080p samsung for even less. Not to mention I'm from Croatia, so I guess you could find it even cheaper over there. Otherwise it's a waste of a good hardware.

I actually planned on upgrading the Processor to an I5 2500K anyway, and I am fine with the GPU and peripherals.
That is a TV.
