hi im getting a new computer, and i need to know what the best one is including price, model, and (if possible) where to get it. The computer needs to be able to run mods EASILY and servers EASILY, lag is important but not as much as mods and servers ( bukkit servers NOT Hammachi ), the computer is mainly for minecraft. Thanks! Please comment ASAP! Thanks!
Um, the lag of servers is caused by internet speeds. I have a pretty good laptop for Minecraft and I still lag on servers due to my slow internet speeds, but on singleplayer mode, I get over 70Fps. By "computer" do you mean a laptop or desktop?
Answer these questions first:
1. Is it a desktop or laptop? (If you're getting a desktop: Do you need a monitor, keyboard, or mouse?)
2. How much money can you spend on it?
3. What games will you play?
4. Are you doing any other programs?
5. So you're just building a computer for minecraft? (as in nothing else)
1. i would like it to be a desktop, and probably monitor, keyboard and mouse
2. nothing over 1,000$
3. Minecraft, (it not really for lag, but mods, and server, because the mac is terrible at that...)
4. Programs that are Minecraft related.
5. i dont really want to build one from scratch (if im getting this wrong, sorry because im not so familiar with computers)

i dont really get what your saying...
also i want to make youtube videos, sorry for not saying that in the first place

building it yourself is 100 times easier than you might think, it's like an advanced lego set,
and he's asking if you plan to record with fraps or something, [which i assume you will since you plan on making youtube videos]
alright im sorry, as i said before im not so good with computers and just wanted to clear things up.
Thanks! now i just have to convince my parents to help me pay for it, what to do, what to do...
DONT GET THAT COMPUTER.
First of all, it's pre-built (and iBUYPOWER). It sucks. The CPU is weak for gaming (although it will handle the game there are many way better CPU's that that price).
The 8120 loses to the i3 at gaming.
A Sata II drive? really?
It has a really crappy case, with a **** power supply that's only 20$ at max. It doesn't even say how much cache the HDD has. For all we know it could be 8MB

So wait, you have a 1000$ budget right?
i3 2120
GTX 670
8GB RAM
1TB/2TB HDD
Good PSU.
You can get that with 1000$
It will destroy that crappy build.
Trust me you should never get an AMD CPU, unless it's an APU. Not sure on their soon to be out Piledriver FX series though.

Good build, but OP said earlier that he needed a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I would guess he probably needs an OS as well so all of those will take around $250-300 away from parts. Since he's just playing Minecraft though he could easily drop the graphics card to a 6870 or a 7850.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

he could get a similar build to mine
just put the cpu down to the i3 and the motherboard to a z77 and hes set

So you mean, like hosting a server, or just playing on a server. Because playing on the computer, half depends on your internet speeds and stability

Built it yourself and save alot of money.

For minecraft, a 6770 is enough
There is no harddrive in the world that is too fast for Sata 2.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
