I've been working on this RTS project I've started a few weeks ago. I'm fairly new to C++ and I'm just starting on Unity coding. The only experience I have is that I'm reading through a C++ programing book. I need a bit of help. I need tutorials/input of:
-How to manage a GUI system to show a menu that allows me to buy units
-How to program the soldier AI's and attributes and have them attack eachother.
-How to make an exploding projectile come from a tank.
-How to make and modify a health system.
-How to move and make the AI move units to bases and enemies
Its a bit much, but if any of you out there can help me, that would be great!
It looks like you've never written a game before, so I must warn you. You are most likely biting off more than you can chew. I think it's better if you start with something like a 2D platformer to learn the basics of Unity and game programming in general. Also, I'm quite sure the official documentation covers things like a health system and GUI.

This, I've been learning java for about 1/4-1/2 year now and I am still working in basic 2D games to grasp the fundamentals tightly. It is better to know how something works than to know that i just works that way because it does.

only half a year of coding one thing? I'm starting my game with two years and knowing C++, java and lua. You'll have a very had time seeing as you want it to be 3D so you'll have to do models and the animations for the game. Another thing to not forget is how/where are you going to be hosting the servers if the game is multiplayer.
You could always steal Borrow the code to Notches RTS game whose name I have forgotten. That was incredibly unhelpful. I can't seem the find the link now but just pretend this post was incredibly insightful.

Catacomb Snatch, I think. Such innuendo... Never got why he named it that, and now your post is uh... 1% more helpful.. I think...

Also I'm making this game on Unity
