So, I wanted a nice little microSD GBA flashcart I could use to load my Pokémon ROMS onto (yes, I own the games). It's so annoying having a million different cartridges that are always getting lost, plus I could give my sister the regular cartridge when I use the flashcart.
So, where's a good place to get a cheap one with enough space to fit all of the Gen 3 Pokémon games (or at least Emerald and LeafGreen)?
(I use a Pikachu GBA SP. I love it sooo much, make sure it works with that.)

Lol, people still play the gba? Anyways have you searched ebay? Im sure you could find a good one for cheap. (btw i dont understand why its legal to copy a game you own onto something so you dont need the game to play it, yet its illegal to share that same game)

The problem is, I have a PSP 3000 (US), but I don't really want to hack it and the ability to do multiplayer with my sister is a large priority.
Modded PSPs can do multiplayer.
Though I'm not entirely sure how easy it is to mod the 3000. The 1001 just involves using a 3rd party battery while the 2000 involves that plus a few extra steps, the 3000 removes the battery part entirely and involves something else IIRC.

Not with a real GBA, though.
I did find this.
It is sold out and requires a firmware update, but looks promising.
yeah i agree, dish out like $60 for a psp 1000, or if you plan on/have getting an iphone, ipad, or iphone there are gba emulators for those if u jailbreak them.

Read my posts.
I can run it on my Optimus V (and I have), but it doesn't run entirely at full speed and again - no multiplayer with my sister.
Well, I could always give her Ruby, which has a dead battery. :\
Dead battery means it will not save IIRC.
Or it might mean the clock events won't work. I can't remember which generation (pretty sure it was the second generation on the GBA) swapped to flash memory from the old type.

Gen 3 just cancels clock-based stuff like berries and Mirage Island (and berries are quite important, among several other gameplay aspects that require the clock). Gen 2 was the one that wouldn't let you save.
Although you CAN get a new battery and put it in the cartridge.....hmm.....

The battery replacement is easy IF YOU HAVE THE GBA/GBC SCREWDRIVER.
DO NOT USE ANY TRICKS TO GET THE SCREW OFF SAVE YOURSELF THE HOURS OF FRUSTURATION AND BUY ONE THEYRE LIKE $7.
isn't it a Tri-Wing screwdriver? those are dang cheap (has a full set of tools for any console, has saved ms PS2 on many occasions)
It's a tri, but it's inverted (more like a socket wrench than a Philips). Similar to the ones the gamecube (console not the controllers, the controllers use the normal kind not inverted) uses only smaller.

I read somewhere they've gotten a reputation as the "Nintendo Screws". When something like that has it's own name, you know it's going to give you trouble.

THIS. I saved my old yellow version by doing this haha kinda sad that almost everyone's 1st generation cartridges' battery is going to die, and so many people are going to be stupid and not use the GBC screwdriver and strip the screws :/ I wonder if you could make a profit by buying dead 1st generation cartridges and fixing them and selling them as collectors items lolSomeone beat me to it.

Hm, well, would I be able to get a decent one on dealextreme by any chance?

All I can find is this.
...waaaay too expensive.
If you get a PSP-1001 it takes literally 10 minutes to flash CFW onto it.

Ah.
Hmm.... Your problem is quite unique.
I guess the worst-case scenario is this.
