I had a chance to pick up a computer a frind of mine made that cost him 3200 when he first built it. He sold it to me outright for $700. I dont really need it but I saw it as a chance to make some quick cash and resell it for more.
A few things I know about it is:
IBUYPOWER Desktop
Windows 7
Quad Core i7 processor
8gb of Ram
Ninvidia 1gb graphics card
800 watt liquid cooled power supply
I know it can run games like Skyrim and Battlefield full specs no lag.
thats kinda useless info, go to RUN and type in dxdiag and get the graphics adapter, 1gb nvidia is usless
Lol I haven't even hooked it up. I have it sitting in the spare room. I don't even really want to fuss with it. I just want the money to do work on my truck /redneck
Also, the other specs really don't say anything. Use Speccy to find the specs.
He said that he doesn't want to fuss with it. But OP, you should plug it up and do it, maybe take any parts you want/need out of it and sell the rest as a barebones kit.
1GB NVIDIA is useless? I'm assuming you meant the info given.
A 1GB Nvidia card is useless. For all we know it is a 1GB 7200GT.
OP, without more information it is impossible to tell.
Windows 7
What version?
Quad Core i7 processor
Which i7?
8gb of Ram
What kind of RAM? What speed?
Ninvidia 1gb graphics card
What graphics card? 1GB doesn't tell us anything
800 watt liquid cooled power supply
You cannot liquid cool a power supply, how many watts is it rated for?
How old is the computer?
What is the HDD SMART status?
What is the HDD's health?
How many times was the drive defragged?
How many times did the power fail when the drive was on?
Are the capacitors good on the mobo?
Are the capacitors good on the PSU?
Is the thermal paste on the CPU dried up?
Is the CPU damaged?
What condition is the RAM in? Can it pass a memtest?
You essentially gave us the most useless information possible to be honest.
Assuming a low/mid graphics card, and old i7 and generic DDR3 RAM though?

It's really only worth $300-400 ABSOLUTE MAX.
This, this, this and more this.
Is this guy (and me :biggrin.gif: ) one of the few people who know a decent amount about computers on this forum?

His job is fixing computers, so yes. Although people like: CentrallyProcessed, Imthat1guy, Christoi, TheRacker also know a fair bit. (If I've missed out any other regulars, I apologise.)
I feel insulted tho you did apologize but I am here quite often.

My life plan is to get 4 A*'s at A level, in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Then go to Imperial College or Oxford to study Chemistry, then go into research.
I have a feeling that it won't quite pan out like that though.......
Hahahahahaha, no. Not unless you live in a country where college is free.

Rough guess how much I can sell it for?
