I've decided to learn how to code. I would like to start with Python and then move on to Java. Could someone recommend some good books/tutorials (no videos)?

Python in a Nutshell is a good desktop reference.
As for tutorials, check their websites. Both python's site and java's site have tutorials.
You should be a little nicer to this person. If you don't like her question ignore it.
One of the most inconsiderate things you can do in a tech-based forum is ask for information before doing your own research. Usually the answers to questions in this forum are answered on the first page of Google search results.
I'm asking if someone can recommend a good book, I did Google it, but there were several hundred results, could someone give an opinion, maybe a book they've used and liked?

I googled "Recommended Python Books", first link http://vermeulen.ca/python-books.html buy or otherwise obtain the first book, I have it in my room somewhere.
EDIT: Unless you count the c# tutorial, but that's not what I'm learning.

Google the following:
Python Tutorial
Java Tutorial
C Tutorial
C++ Tutorial
VB Tutorial
C♯ Tutorial
Google will help resolve 99% of programming problems, especially when learning.
Edit: Add python to Google List

I can't do much for python, but for java, Head First Java is amazing. Thinking in Java is also awesome, especially if you plan to move from python.
Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
helped me learn lol.

Helped you learn what? Procedural programming? Mhm, let's see how far that gets you in an OO language.
