Did you even read the op? Sure, Alienware looks good, but that's the only thing good about it.
Well I have a MSI laptop that was free from work and I would never pay for a gaming laptop. Even though my laptop would be considered a gaming laptop I've never used it as one. I personally have no use for such a thing. I built a small LAN rig and that's the only time I need to game outside of my own house.
I gave up a long time ago trying to sway people from buying Alienware or Mac's. If they're to lazy to spend a couple hours researching the products they buy they deserve to get ripped off.
I'm not really a huge fan of Sager. From what I've seen, for a 1-1.5k laptop, ASUS has better price/performance ratio. Anything more, I don't think it's worth spending on a laptop. For a 2k+ laptop they seem to offer good products, however I'd prefer to get a 1k desktop and 1k laptop instead. Their lower-end products don't seem that great, $700 laptop includes a GT520m.
Do I have to say anything about alienwares?
Save us the speech, I think I have it memorized by now. Haha
I'm typing this on my M14x, and I absolutley love it. I got myself a i7 2820 QM, GeForce GT555M and 8GB of DDR3 going at 1600MHz. I love this laptop. and I got it for under 2 grand. Bad deal? I think not (its called waiting for sales and using gift codes). Overheating? ***** please, although loud, this fan keeps this laptop cooler than the fricken arctic. I have never seen my baby go above 70C, even whlist gaming. Overly shitty quality? It has been longer than I remember with this laptop and I have NEVER had any problems with it. Hell, my friends MacBook Pro has worst problems that this baby. This Alienware M14x is built like a TANK. I am VERY pleased with my purchace. I would by this laptop again in a heartbeat.
Yes but in what way do you just mean you think they are the best. Because they don't have the highest sales or anything that can be based in hard numbers.

The performance
EDIT: Their motherboards are long-lasting, durable and a perfect use to anything.
Uh because its asus does not magically make it perform better. My custom built desktop would out perform any ASUS laptop.
The best sager laptop would murder any ASUS laptop.

sager np 8130
i5
8gb ram
GTX 560 1.5gb mxm-b
about 1000$
sager are like lego laptops, they can be upgraded like PC. asus can't
and asus has shitload of bloatware on their OS, don't buy
Alienware:
Pros:
Looks pretty
Cons:
Overpriced
Overheated
Overly shitty
Dell customer support
Sager:
Pros:
High performance
Half the price of Alienware
Much more options
Well built
Good customer support
Cons:
Higher end models can be overpowered, although that power may come in handy later.
So basically in short this:
Let's say you get the highest end model.
Alienware: Mommy and Daddy said I could.
Sager: BECAUSE IT'S THAT ****ING DANDY.
Get out.
Did you even read the op?
Sure, Alienware looks good, but that's the only thing good about it.
It's very hard to build a laptop.
Now a desktop on the other hand...
it's only hard to find the parts
anyway, sager is going to release a X79 laptop in 2012, i'm considering one of those

Seems pretty stupid to put a X79 into a laptop to me. It will probably be $4000+ and still won't come close to a desktop. Royal waste of money.
Save us the speech, I think I have it memorized by now. Haha
OFC, they provide the highest end parts at higher budget.
When I win the lottery...
:tongue.gif:
ASUS does not offer the computers that sager does. Sager is just a ludicrous laptop manufacturer. They use desktop cpu in it.
Haters gonna hate...
DID I MENTION THE SHINEY BOX? SHIIIIIIIIIINEY.
ASUS is #1 in computers though.
In what?
I think Toshiba has the highest amount of sales.
ASUS makes good laptops I'm not denying it.
COMPUTERS. I was talking about computers.
