Sup guys, I wanted to ask if there is any other Python 2.7 coders out there willing to help me.
I need this project done BY CHRISTMAS. Not after. Not next year. ON CHRISTMAS. I will release it on the 23rd (My birthday by the way :biggrin.gif:) to coders for bug testing. Then on the 25th (Christmas) I will fully release it. Help please.
It can be text based. It can be GUI based. (PyGame) I don't care which one. So, anyone willing to help?
Just PM me or reply.
So you are giving us about 14 days to write a whole game? Going to happen for sure.
Well, a guy made a game in PyGame (Python addon basically) in 1 developers week. Which is 40 hours for him.
It had a full combat system and it was a top down RPG. And this is probably gonna be text based. I'm gonna start (trying) to make a simple PyGame game and build off that. I will let you know when its done. Nek Minnit... Done. :tongue.gif:
Ok. I made a game.
I used:
PyGame Alien Textures
PyGame
Python
PyGame Alien Sounds
PyGame Alien Player Model (Old Version)
PyGame Alien Shot Texture
PyGame Alien Explosion Texture
MS Paint (LOL)
Paint.NET
Thats all i used. You are allowed to use those textures by the way.
Basically there is just UFOs dropping present bombs (My present texture looks like ****)
and you a a tank. You use SPACEBAR to shoot and left and right arrow keys to move and ESC to quit.
When you get shot you blow up and the window closes. When you shoot the aliens they blow up and more come in. When you kill a alien there is a score counter and 1 is added to it. Download: (You need Python, Python environment variables and PyGame installed)Christmas Invaision

Screenshots please. It's not that I don't trust you... But I don't.
Been there, done that. This was actually a challenge my friend game me. It NEEDS to be in Python.
Okay I am not going to do the whole thing as I am still learning python and it's not really my priority at the moment but here is a simple GUI structure in python
Figure it out from there also Tkinter is a GUI system provided with python and it has a file defining all the available classes. Pyscripter is the IDE I suggest using BTW.

Edit: it didn't save my indentations.
Yeah i fixed the indents. I dont use Tkinter much but i might as well give it a shot. How do you display graphics on the screen? And move a sprite using arrow keys?

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.

Thanks for the respect. I really hate certain people sometimes.Hey you 4 guys looking at this. Any of you Python coders?

Wanna help then? Just to prove make a .py file that prints a line of text on the screen. Only one line is needed
Yes it is. I just finished school today :biggrin.gif:
That's not really a challenge
def main():
pass
print "this text"
if __name__ == '__main__':
main()
If this is only a text based game try doing it in batch would be easier.
Example
ECHO This is a game
ECHO Enter A to go to A
SET /P A=A
%A% = GOTO LOOPA
:LOOP A
ECHO THIS IS SPARTA YOU ARE DEAD

def option2():

B1 = Tkinter.Button(top, text = "Button Text", command = option1)
B1.pack()
B2 = Tkinter.Button(top, text = "Button Text", command = option2)
B2.pack()
top.mainloop()
