Today I saved enough to buy a watercooler (PC overheats whenever I play a game that requires a considerable amount of memory, my CPU is the main problem here), I've googled a lot to answer some of my questions and calm down my worries but I am still pretty paranoic about this so I would appreciate some answers here
The 20-24 hour leak test only applies for custom builds?
I am buying a preassembled kit, those are supposed to be trusty right?
Does water work as a good coolant?
Is the only thing I got currently, if there is a better and safer coolant, please lemme know.
By pre-assembled kit do you mean and all in one cooler like the Corsair H100i? Or with tubes etc? If it's with the H100i, you should be absolutely fine but make sure when you first power it on to test for any leaks. It shouldn't require 24 hours as it's not a full loop. If it's a loop, then definitely check for leaks.
There are specially designed coolants that work better than standard water, but some can be expensive, have a shop around.
It's usually perfectly safe if you know what you are doing and be vigilant of leaks etc.

Yep, it is all-in-one, for how much time should I test for leaks?
