Windows 7 and Linux Mint. Upgrade to Windows 10 disappointed me. I wish I could get W7 back, but I have important data on W10. So for now I'm using Mint, it's faster and has a similar desktop to W7, and I can play minecraft on it, too.
For gaming, I run Windows 10 on my rig, for productivity and programming I run OS X and if I'm feeling hipster I also run Debian off of an external hard drive and Virtual Box.
If anyone is into using Linux for productivity then I suggest checking out i3wm, its definitely a lightweight and easy to use windows managers.
If it's for a modern PC Windows 10
If I want to play older games Windows 98
windows 10 but elementary os is pretty good too.
this is my desktop everyday:

EDIT: After trying Ubuntu Mate, I think I will prefer it over windows, so I changed my vote to Linux.
After my 5th attempt I finally did it
I prefer OS X, but due to finances I'm using a Windows 10 Laptop.
I have a twitter, if you're interested in stalking me.
