NVIDIA GT 720 is simply an entry level graphics card. It's not very ideal in terms of gaming as GT cards are all entry level ones. You are better off getting a PC equipped with preferable a GTX model. It's not as good as they claim the graphics card to be.
Since the graphics card is the core of functioning of video and gaming performance, the PC is already not ideal for gaming out of the box. It looks like a hardcore gaming PC when in reality, it isn't. However, the PSU is better than many ordinary PCs, 500W so you can probably swap out the graphics card that comes alongside for a powerful one but not to the highest level kind since they consume a lot of watts, however if you want a PC that works well with gaming out of the box then try this:
The quality of the internal components, the design, the units ability to actually cool itself (you would be amazed how many cheap designs just toss a fan on there and end up with poor cooling where it really matters) and its ability to actually provide that capacity consistently without falling out of the ATX spec matter.
Crappy prebuilt systems generally come with crappy bottom of the barrel (or as near to it as possible) PSUs, this means cheap Chinese caps (rather than the actually perfectly good 2nd tier stuff from the likes of Teapo or Capxon), group regulation, group regulation (not inherently bad, but hard to do well, especially cheaply) a lack of AC line filtration, a possible lack of PFC (possibly even with fake concrete coils) and you will almost never get the labeled capacity out of them, the reason for this varies, it could be rated for a low temperature meaning its derating in an active system and cannot output full power as a result, it could be labeled for peak output or the labeled capacity could be an outright lie, all 3 are rather common in cheap units.
IIRC someone opened a cyberpower PSU and was shocked that it hadn't already fried the system.

So your saying the Desktop you just linked is fast, and can process Mods(Shaders) and servers, etc?
I just changed a link to it as I found an even better Alienware Machine, apparently there are also these Alpha models. This very alpha model is slightly more expensive but since it uses a GTX model (I hear it is gtx 860m), has 8GB RAM and a quadcore processor (i5) at 3.0 GHz, it is quite likely it will handle shaders and servers well. By the way, if by server you mean joining servers then don't focus too much on the parts because it would be your internet connection that would matter a lot. It's a little more expensive, but the price has been reduced, probably temporarily but it is definitely better than that other PC you showed. It's basically DELL with better parts, don't expect super high parts to come with these machines though.
Even though X51 models are the best among the alienwares, they are too expensive.
Alpha also seems slightly overpriced for a gaming PC so you can also build your own PC which can be even better.

Remember that it's a mobile GPU not a desktop GPU. You wont be able to upgrade the Alpha.

Oh right, forgot to mention about that.
Only graphics card in X51 models can be upgraded and are really expensive. If you are interested or have any experience in hardware, it's also a good idea to either build a PC or buy an entry level PC like a DELL Inspiron model and slowly upgrade parts and turn it into a PC that can handle games well. I have a DELL Inspiron 3847 modified and equipped with GTX 750 Ti and 16GB RAM as well as an i3 processor at 3.7 GHz, chances are it could be on par with some models of Alienware. The accumulated price of all the parts in a PC depend on what kind of performance you are going for and what parts you buy.
I need to know if this desktop is good enough to run mods and servers smoothly and possibly recording- http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16883229362&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-Mobile&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-Mobile-_-pla-_-Desktop PC-_-N82E16883229362&gclid=CjwKEAjww9O3BRDp1tq0jIP023YSJAB0-j1SprpF2lC6ZdLo2YuWB-mm-pWOK63BmRu2fHu_5QNi8BoCkQXw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

That's something that is actually worth buying at nearly the same price if you're not planning to choose to get any extra components alongside.

That alpha model seems to suitable, assuming you use Windows and expect it to be pre installed. and you want every game to be compatible.
