A friend of mine decided to upgrade her laptop to windows 10 from windows 8 and ended up having numerous issues, it barely works. Unfortunately it's been more than a month since the install so traditional rollback isn't an option. However I've got a copy of a system builder disk for windows 8 (this one right here) and I was wondering if it was possible to do a downgrade with that. The disk has only been used 1 time with my machine.
If you have the Windows key for her laptop, you can. There might be some issues if her laptop shipped with Windows 8.0 (instead of 8.1), but I'm not sure about that.
Does her laptop have switchable graphics? The windows 10 install messes those up, so it might be a fairly easy fix. If she does, download the drivers from the manufacturer's site (for both the GPUs) and it might fix the issues.
and select Win8.1, download and burn to a disk. Insert disk and install Win8.1, enter your key again when promted, continue setup, done. You will have to go into control panel and then click the link to activate online. If it fails, you will have to phone them (free) and they will sort it you out.

If you have the key (probably on the bottom) head over to
