Well, after 6 days of using a quad core, I've had to go back to the i5. The quad core just throttles too much in this Thinkpad thanks to the small fan. It doesn't bother me too much to go back though, because everything I do is just fine on the i5. Hopefully someone makes a bios mod for this so that I can put in one of the 35 watt Ivy bridge quad cores.
Setup/desk has changed quite a bit since my last post, time for an update methinks.
New monitor (Viewsonic XG2703-GS - 1440p IPS G-Sync 165Hz), new desk + monitor arms (Ergotech Freedom), new GPU (MSI GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X), and mouse (G502 Proteus Spectrum, love it). I also have a delidded and binned 5.2GHz i7 7700k in the mail at the moment, chasing higher clock speeds.
I'll grab a photo of the actual system when installing the 7700k.

I have 550mb of ram, dual core processor, i7-7700K, ASUS motherboard. Top of the line parts but I can't run Minecraft too well, I think I have a virus so I am going to reinstall windows ME.
