So since Nvidia's GTX 980 has been announced , I wanted to know what everybody else thinks about it? In my opinion it looks freaking awesome..also, if you had over 500 bucks would you buy it over the 780 ti? (I'm not buying it)

the GTX 980 is a much better value than the 780 Ti, not to mention faster. However, the GTX 970 is a better value than any of them. Only $329 and as fast as a Titan? Sign me up. Or at least I'd like to say, but I'll be probably be rocking this overclocked 7870 XT for a while yet.
A lot more power efficient, comparable to a 780 Ti in performance. Looks nice, maybe i'll finally upgrade my 7870s.
Yeah, I honestly think it's one of the best cards of the year..The amount of energy a normal card consumes..and with the power of the 980? How cool it stays and how much power it saves is just incredible..

Yeah, pretty cheap with how good it is..compared to the Titan which is like $3,000..I'm really excited for these cards..

Titans were not really made for gaming, but they won't tell you that, because they'll make a lot more money. A Titan is pretty much just a 780, but with more cuda cores, and more Vram (and some other stuff, but they are pretty much the same)
You can get a 295x2 right now for 1,000. Lol.
Anyways, I'm gonna wait for the r7/r9 3xx series to come out, from what rumors I've heard, (that had rumors on the 9xx cards too, and they turned out to be true) is that the 3xx series are gonna be blazing fast.

Very true, but the 980 is cheaper than the 295x2 and is still pretty freaking awesome..and yeah I can't wait for the R7/9 3xx series..

Thinking about it, I would wait for a bit. AMD releases a card that's barely better than something they released in early 2012 with the exception of bandwidth usage. Nvidia relases a faster card that uses less power, but that's also significantly more expensive to manufacture and doesn't price it as they usually do, instead, they price it below the 770 2GB. It simply doesn't fit in the pattern of their previous launches. There's something going on behind the scenes.
No, the Titan Black has completely replaced the Titan. It was never meant to be "a slightly more powerful option", it was always meant to be "the Titan from now on."
They cost the same, but there's almost nowhere you can get the original Titan anymore.
Oh, well in benchmarks it's just like a 780 vs a 780ti lol.
But I thought it was weird I couldn't find anywhere to buy a Titan.

How many watts?
I'm back
Think i'll pick one up next pay day.

Pick me one up while you are at it? Damn you are your money
Card looks good, It's a tempting switch from AMD to Nvidia but I'm going to wait for now.. jppk1 has a somewhat valid point.
CONSPIRACY!
That should be sufficient.
NOW SHUT UP AND TAKE MAH MOOLAH.
I'm back
No... I regular GTX Titan, that goes for 1k.... Then there is a Titan Black for a bit more, and then a Titan Z.
Titan = 780 (in performance)
Titan Black = 780 ti
Titan Z = 2 Titan Blacks/780ti's
A 295x2 is 1k right now, and it's a little more than double the speed of a titan.
Yes, but as I said earlier, that is a bit too expensive..
