I'm in need of assistance. I have been trying to get mods working for 1.0.0, and have been unsuccessful. I don't think I'm really doing anything wrong, although it's been a long time since I have done modding with the good ol' 1.0, so maybe something's gone wrong. I am using the old launcher (the one before the newest) as MCPatcher seemed to have a problem with the new one. If you're wondering, why the heck am I using MCPatcher, well it simply just worked splendid before. It's very quick to work with it, quick and easy, no hassle. But to the problem. So my problem is with ModLoader. When I patch the game with ModLoader (which, should go correctly, as I see the files in the .jar) when booting the game it results in a crash after the Mojang logo. Here is the log that ModLoader creates;
FINE: ModLoader 1.0.0 Initializing...FINE: ModLoader 1.0.0 Initializing...joulukuuta 03, 2017 1:42:04 AP. ModLoader initFINER: THROWjava.lang.IllegalArgumentException: URI is not hierarchical at java.io.File.(Unknown Source) at ModLoader.init(ModLoader.java:823) at ModLoader.AddAllRenderers(ModLoader.java:186) at wb.(wb.java:76) at wb.(wb.java:9) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(SourceFile:265) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(SourceFile:644) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
So, it's the "URI is not hierarchical" problem, that I have seen many complaining about. Now, is the issue with the fact that the .minecraft folder is in an entirely different shape than before? I don't know what this problem is exactly, and I don't know how to fix it. So far, I've only experienced this with using ModLoader. Of course, it being basically the mod I need, to use the rest. I guess a way around of fixing this issue would be basically downloading a "cracked" offline version of the game that would use the old layout or something, but I would rather do it with the genuine game. So, any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
NOTE: After tests, it seems that deleting wb.class fixes the crashing. But doing this makes the mod useless, as it doesn't load things without the file. Just to let you know.
