Im not sure where to post this so here will work i guess
I have my normal start.bat that contains the normal
@ECHO OFF
SET BINDIR=%~dp0
CD /D "%BINDIR%"
"%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar
PAUSE
,but i would like it to do more!
I have recently heard about the wget program so i downloaded it and put it in c://windows like instucted and i did a test DL and it worked just fine!
Then i got to thinking how about i have wget download the latest dev build for me and rename it to my liking and then execute the above code.
How would i go about this, i havent used MS-dos coding before so how should i do this?
Is there a way to rename a file through a varable that wget may set?
Anyone smart enough i would love some help!
P.S. I do know other code languages but would like to try batch
Also this is a craftbukkit server
and that just updates it but i need it to get the output file from the website and use it like such "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar %var%
@echo off
wget -S -N http://dl.bukkit.org...craftbukkit.jar
echo Bukkit has been updated to then newest DEV version
set /p test=would you like to start the server? (y/n)
if %test%==y Start.bat
if %test%==n pause
