Is there a mod out there that makes it so sand can cause entire land-slides like real sand? I mean like where a tower of sand is hit at the bottom, it actually piles up instead of just dropping one block. Please either find a mod like this or think about making it.
Please and thank you if you do,

"It's not nice to hate anybody, unless the person you hate is a complete idiot."
Actually in minecraft classic/creative there was a server software called mczall (now mclawl) which allowed you to use these types of blocks (I can't remember) that actually move around in a random pattern imitating the movement of water when being 'splashed'

There is a mod in which a sand structure must be supported on the sides in order to stay up; you couldn't have 1x1 towers, it would fall into a mound. I don't know what its called, i'll hunt around a bit.

No, because the whole game is in blocks. This would require screwing around with all of the game's files, which could screw with your game.
Apparently, it wouldn't. Blocks can move dynamically without major modification; any, in fact, sand and gravel can fall without being strictly in 1 block by 1 block cubes, but falling as if a real cube would. The mod I'm thinking of simply checks for surrounding blocks and moves randomly to the side if that side isn't supported and if the tower is tall enough.
