Although I appreciate many bugs being fixed in the better together version, we are still running our xbox one world because of the slow speed of the minecarts in better together.
We use our minecarts for transporting goods and basic transportation (I've got a whole rail system) -- the minecart speed in the better together version was nearly halved (for some unknown reason) from the xbox one version...it's only slightly faster than running, which makes little sense to me.
Hmm...I'll have to check that out. Honestly, I love to build, and building rail lines/train stations after historical places has been a fun project for me...plus sending loot along the lines is really convenient.
Yeah, I agree. I have an underground rail network (not extensive) and i used to use it a lot on the old console version when there was only one elytra. I still use rails in the nether though to connect my portals.

I rarely use minecarts now, simply because elytra is the fastest way to travel and doesn't require stacks of time and resources to build.
