1. If Xbox One world hosts do not have the option to rollback the world, at least allow us to retain 'disable autosave'. Griefers are, have always been, and always will be a problem. We've been given the ability to disable permissions from players and that is very useful, but this is not fool-proof. We can still be misled and give players permissions that we thought were trustworthy and end up getting griefed. Griefers can still lead creepers up to our builds to blow them up. The option to disable mob griefing is locked behind "enable cheats" which is not something everyone wants to turn on. Creative builders can lose significant progress on their builds due to griefers and if autosave is on no matter what they get hurt the most. We need this ability again, or an ability to roll back the worlds state like PC server hosts can do.
2. Also, for Xbox One, this seems to be a downgrade especially in the menus. I spent 3 hours just trying to convert my old world, between the game crashing, giving my xbox the black screen of death, having the cheats automatically toggled on for converted worlds (which I wanted off) while also making me turn fire spread, tnt, and coordinates on before turning off cheats (because turning them off and then back on permanently disables cheats even without loading up the game beforehand), the "couldn't convert world" error.
3. Now I'm finally in the game and this UI is obnoxious to navigate with a controller. The crafting menu is right next to the inventory, disabling the ability to go all the way to the left/right and have the selection appear on the other side. Can't even free move the cursor because the cursor was replaced with a green box. With the old free cursor, using the d-pad to move around didn't have this lag time. There's lag time on moving along the hotbar, too. The menus are all laggier. I'm freezing up every time I go between the main menu of the game and 'play'.
4. Why give us the classic crafting boxes if you're gonna also give us this bulky, in-the-way item search thing on the left? Allow us to go back to the old crafting menu. I've played PC for years, and Xbox for many years afterwards. The xbox crafting menu is superior to the classic crafting; at least when it comes to controllers.
5. I had a 5x5 map of my large world completely filled out before this. Now I just have the original map filled out. I can't quite understand why we had to wipe the map data when--even though the game switched to infinite world--the world chunks were already loaded, and my original map still has data on it anyways. My house was cut right down the middle by this arbitrary chunk wipe. Every update before on xbox we could keep our old, outdated world chunks when a new update came out. I know this is a big deal of a change but I don't see why this should happen.
6. When I press start, this giant player list thing takes up a third of the screen, and my button selection starts out over there. Please give us an option to hide the player list, or at least make the selection start on 'resume game'.
7. The game looks way more saturated now. Last time I played PC it was like this, but I have to wonder what settings I can change to make it look like it used to?
8. Now I cannot use my 'use item' button on a armor in my hotbar to quickly equip it. Now I need to drag it all the way up to my armor slots if I want to replace what I'm wearing.
9. The render distance for some things have been shortened. When I'm far enough from my farm now I only see the tilled soil, not the crops.
10. Quasi-Connectivity. I thought this would be my least favorite part of this update, but now it looks like it's far from the biggest problem.
11. No shields. Not in the new, awful crafting UI, not in the search, unable to manually craft it. Honestly was the only thing I cared about in this update, and it's not here.
Are cheats important to the balance of the game? This game gives us the choice to play with risks or no risks in the form of creative mode and teleporting and other abilities. It's a sandbox game, not Call of Duty. There's no winning or losing here. Let me play the way I want to be played.
And copying my world every half hour or hour is cumbersome, especially if I've explored the world a lot and the file size gets big enough.
I agree with nearly everything in the OP. Bring back the console menu and crafting. Trying to use the menu here with a controller is garbage. It may be fine with a mouse on a computer but on the console, it is ruining the play.
I haven't managed to convert my world yet since the system keeps crashing. But with all the stories of improper conversion and losing things means that we need to wait for them to fix the issues before switching to this version. World conversion seems to be a major piece of switching over to this new minecraft version. You would have thought they would test it fully before releasing it.

Auto Save is not a problem-free. Bring back toggle for it on Xbox. It reduces the chance of crash and lag significantly. Also, roll-back is the key for some reasons.
Or, at least add timer; 10, 30, and 1 hour interval something like that.

You realise you can hide the search item box right? Personally don't have any issues with the UI, certainly doesn't lag for me .
Shield are in, I have one though I never use it, competed pointless item. I'm on beta though so maybe it's only in beta at the moment. I wouldn't worry though it's not worth the hassle, mobs aren't exactly challenging in minecraft.

I mean if I wanted to load up my world and invite my friends and allow friends of friends, or if I wanted to make a group post and invite randoms.
Edit: Bad post, removed.
I didn't know these forums even worked still.
