Hello I was thinking that minecraft needs a testing version made for testing features made by players that have a chance of being added to the game.
I will be using minecraft infdev in the testing because its a simple version of the game.I will also only be giving info for the people up to the task to make a mod/ modde version for testing. Thats all bye!
Will being updating soon!
-----------------------------------
If you do not understand why Im using a older version its because it will be easier to apply to and its just a test so far
Also if you did not know I will only be giving info on bug fixes if you want to make this moded info
I don't quite get what you mean. Testing features made by players for who, and for what reason.
Technically I could test a development version of a mod or datapack or so if I wanted to as long as the creator allows it. I basically test creator's content by reviewing it. Or use a Dev World Mod even besides just using the Dev Environment with and IDE.
While older versions are a good idea for applying content sure even if a lot that has been applied to later ones is beneficial and can be just tweaked by fans however they want instead of needing to add more elements newer ones have from scratch. But otherwise I don't get what you mean.
If you mean expanding older versions sure that's a good idea just like people have in the Beta community because of the direction the game took wasn't for them when it came to the Adventure update, but otherwise what do you mean by testing features made by players?
There is commands, Development environments/worlds creators have for making mods or builds, their is Debug Mode as a world even to look at all blocks added.
What sort of thing are you describing?
If it's for your own creations sure, but otherwise players have found ways to make testing features possible. Heck even Snapshot exist for players to tell the game for Mojang to get feedback and bugs are reported to the bug tracker.
No Problem. Hopefully what I said made sense or wasn't seen as a criticism. I could be wrong on what I said.
Otherwise what did you mean exactly? You may have had a really good idea and I don't want to say it's bad or take away from what you have presented, it's just I didn't understand what you mean and just made connections to things I assumed it was.
