I need some help. I made a automatic slime chunk farm it’s at level 11 and it the whole chunk is mined from top to bottom. I afk at it from 25 blocks away. But no slimes spawn unless I switch to peaceful than back to hard. All caves I could find are lit up and everything. I am on bedrock edition btw
From where your afk spot is, you've got a sphere of about 54 block radius where mobs will spawn. I gather you know this already. Seeing as how slimes will spawn at level 39 as well, I would have made the farm at that level, and the afk about 45 blocks above that. It probably would be easier to control the rest of the mob spawns at that level.

it sounds to me like you have too much spawn cap competition. switching it to peaceful despawns all hostiles and frees up the cap. some one pointed out to me that this could be more of a problem if your near alot of ocean and water due to drowned. conversely, ive been seeing more and more issues about natural hostile despawn issues; though they all dealt with the nether, they did revolve around spawn forcing. so it may be related.

There are already numerous threads about this. Probably worth searching for.
