I know that technically it's a whole new game and engine and all, but the newest update has less content than original content editions, with the loss of large biomes, customizing superflats, and the game actually pausing when in an offline game, if anyone else has actually noticed missing content too post it here, because this is all I've noticed thus far.
Personally I dislike the Better Together update. It forced autosave, toned the graphics down to PE quality, turned all my ender chests into normal chests, and didn't even make it possible for me to access all my worlds from each platform (for some reason I thought this would be the case) or give me access to all the skins I purchased on the Xbox One Edition. I mainly play on the Switch right now, though, and it hasn't been plagued by this update yet.
I don't know if it's me but my mending enchantments haven't been working on btu and its kind of upsetting I can't use my fishing poles unless I use levels at an anvil to repair it first, and I'm scared to use mending books because I don't want to waste my levels when it's broken
I am having a problem with mob spawner I am in 100/% survival I found a zombie spawner set up a basic grinder and it worked great for about a hour now nothing will spawn and looking closely I can no longer see a little zombie inside the spawner itself just the flames I have put torches everywhere above and below and in all the little caves I can find around I have turned it to peaceful and back to hard nothing is fixing it anyone else having this problem?
Coming from Xbox One Edition, it's been a difficult transition. Aside from the obvious dislike of the UI that most console players have...my biggest problem has been the sensitivity of the controls. Maybe I'm crazy, but I sware the directional controls feel different. Typically, when looking left, right, up or down, there was never an issue before the update, but now the "dead zone" is apparently gone. Say I'm trying to look left or right...I'm constantly fighting it floating up or down. Right has become right and slightly up...it's driving me crazy! Also, the map is pretty much useless in split screen multiplayer (vertical). Half of it is off the screen and if the map is in hand, it's completely not visible. Hopefully these issues will be fixed...until then, I'll probably just stick with the xbox one edition.
I really don't get why so many people are having issues with bedrock. But I guess if you hate it that much, just stick with console edition rather than ranting about something that nobody is forcing you to play.
For the Pocket Edition, Mending does not work, I'm also having to fight the game for control, if I scroll, it lags and jumps back. This update is unpolished and rushed, it had great potential, but so far, its a letdown.

Exactly what I am doing for the moment. But considering the console edition will not receive any more updates, we are being forced to convert our world's over. Right now the bedrock version is worse than the console edition, and doesn't seem to be designed for a console player. Lots still broken and unfriendly.
but if the current version of Minecraft console edition is so perfect, why would you want any updates? No one is forcing you to do anything. You don't need to convert your worlds unless you feel that bedrock has more to offer of course?

It's because it wasn't an update it's windows 10 edition which is a crappy port off of pocket edition. I suggest complaining to the bug reports about lack of character controls (say make it the same as it were pc) then complain to them about the rest.

I am also having issues with the mending enchant, seems like when you receive an XP orb it just randomly assigns it to either your xp level or to a random item with mending, for me that's 4 armor, 1 sword, and 4 tools, that's 10 locations of it to choose from, makes it much harder to fully repair my pick, sad face

I guess you missed the part about console versions not being updated anymore so would not get any new content. The only way to get future content will be to convert to the bedrock edition.

what the heck is bedrock edition? there is rasbery pie, educational, 4k,pc,console,windows10, and that's it. There is for pc(4k,cavegame,pre-classic,classic,survival test,indev,infdev,alpha,beta,1.0-1.2.5(last stable version sadly modding apis sucked back then)

No, I didn't miss that part. My point is that a lot of the complaints slating bedrock also complain that it has less content, or doesn't work as well, or is a step backwards in some way, or is dumbed down, etc, etc, etc., therefore, stick to the console edition if its so much better. Yes, you're right, it won't get any more updates. Thats kinda tough, but you know what? There are lots of old games I love and they don't get updates anymore either. Minecraft is a rare game in that it has lasted so long. What you have now is the original console edition which is still very playable and the new bedrock edition. You have the choice.
ModPacker...Bedrock edition is the new Minecraft game
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about modpacker. Not sure if English is your first langage. I'm assuming not, so I'll make allowances for that. Just to clarify for you...Minecraft is essentially the bedrock edition and is the same version for xbone, windows 10, PE. Console editons still exist as a different game and java version is the old pc version. You seem a little confused on this matter.
as for your difficulty in moving the 'character' I have no clue as to what you are talking about but you keep repeating how difficult it is. Could you elaborate or be more specific?

You still miss the point. I want to convert over and will, ONCE the bugs are fixed.
At the moment the console version is better than this new version. Why? Because it doesn't crash continuously, the UI is better, and I can still play my world. So at the moment, I wouldn't recommend converting over to anyone. The new version is not dumbed down, not sure where you got that from, but it is a definitely a step backwards. How anyone can think a game that crashes the xbox is not a step backwards from one that doesn't? Right now all the updates are about fixing bugs to just trying to bring it up to the previous versions. But maybe you are one of the lucky ones where everything is working fine for you on the xbox with this new version.
It is a choice. And for the moment I am sticking to the version that is actually playable. Once everything is fixed, then of course I will be forced to convert to the new version if I want any of the new content.
As for your other comment, sure minecraft is a great game and the old versions can still be fun. But what keeps it going is the new content.

I'm unable to connect with other player and it won't sign me in on minecraft. It's been a few days. I expected a fix by now.
Xbox One Edition is still playable. One upside to the console version - the old version didn't get replaced by BT; it's an entirely new game.

New update came out, game's even worse now that there's a giant cursor in the middle of your screen you can't get rid of

No it's not it's called windows 10.
Console will receive mashup/texture packs officially by mojang.
Windows 10 is just enhanced pocket edition pretty crappy in all mechanics except cyber security. It's hard to move the character at all.
