I've searched and haven't quite found what I'm looking for. My tracks start in my house, hit a detector rail, through a sticky piston door and off through the wild pixelated yonder. The problem I'm having is the trip back. Currently I smash through the sticky doors and take damage.
My question is, how do I use a detector rail on the route in and open the doors as I do on the way out?
Current (extremely simple) redstone config: detector rail => redstone (chained) => cobblestone w/ repeater on top => redstone torch attached to previous cobblestone => redstone (chained to sticky pistons).
As stated, it works flawlessly leaving... it's the ride back that hurts.

Thanks for the help!
Should be as simple as setting up same thing just on other side
