So Imma Get to the point and let Everyone know that I don't usually play minecraft, But lately I've wanted to take a break from COD and do something fun. So I've decided I'm Going to Go all out and just make a huge world. With a carnival, mansions, Stores, all of that good Stuff. So I'm literally sitting here staring at my screen wondering how the hell I should start. I thought about making a pathway into a castle? Oh Gosh I have no clue. Would you guys just start right away with a carnival? im the only one working on this so it's gonna take forever but oh Well. How would you guys start? Thanks!(: xoxo- Ms Arcadieus.
Sounds like you may be in creative. I play hard survival so starting a new map with big plans typically means I have to start gathering materials first, digging a mine etc. So I 'll start with a chest room to hold my stuff for building. So I may get a couple of double chest of smooth stone before I actually use that material for a project etc. As for multiple buildings I look for a good place to build. I like to incorporate the end portal into my main house so I try to start there. I also like a river side area or ocean so I can have a port facility with my house.
As Geneo said, start out with the center or focal point. This should be the biggest or most important structure of all. Build it as large as you want, and use whatever styling you like. Then, build a pathway and start to create more building or rides or whatever off that path, or start circling around the middle. Match the build scale and style of build to the middle, and just continue until you are satisied with your new branch or ring. Then, repeat with another branch or ring, and just work at it until you complete it or become bored.
And keep in mind that you will very likely become bored or lose your motivation at some point. If that happens, you can just leave for a while, and return when you REALLY want to.
Work with what you build. Oftentimes, something won't turn out the way you excpect it to, for good or for worse. Tear I'd down, if you want, or trim of the edgesz or even make it into something else. And most importantly, don't rush it or force your way through. You'll get the best results when you take the time to fully flesh out your build. Its better to take a long time and work steadily then to rush to get it all done in one sitting. Hope this all helps, it has for me
So you have a focal point, the biggest structure, planned for the center, right? (If not, you should.)
Start from there and work your way out.
