I got one disk from having a three high wall of fence that ran about 10 block square. The creeper and skeleton were on the outside and could only travel around the two sides because of walls that ran away from my square. I moved to one side so the skelelton and creeper from completely against the rock wall. I had a block over a middle part of the fence out. As i moved towards the other side the skeleton shot the creeper. So I did it until the skeleton killed the creeper.
Here is the set up
x S C Hole in front of where creeper is in fense middle row of three

F F F F F F F F F F x x x x
I have a standard drop type xp farm.
All the mobs drop into a 2 x 2 box and they take one hit to kill.
Because the farm is reasonably efficient and all the mobs are congregated in close proximity you almost cant fail to encourage the skeletons to fire at you and hit creepers.
I got loads of disks in a very very short period of time.
i see what you mean. i will try it but i would have to wire some way to light the farm up. im on a map with a load of people and we have one community mob grinder with good rates. i wouldn't want to affect it
I've yet to see an enchanted iron sword dropped by a Zombie. Will have to keep my eye out for that one. Can personally confirm the rest. (Regular Iron Sword, Iron Helmet, Iron Ingot, and Iron Shovel.)
And while I've seen bows from skeletons, the only enchanted ones I've come across have all been Power I. Anything better? Won't hold my breath for a Punch II/Power IV/Infinity bow, but one can hope. (If that combination is even possible?)
And I'm too much of a wimp to mess w/Zombie Pigmen...at least until I work through trying to kill the Enderdragon on Hard Mode w/out dying. Or more likely fail at it. Whichever comes first.
