I was wondering how much it would take up when you download it from XBLA. I'm assuming it would take up as much it does on the PC (just a few MB's). I ask this because, I really don't have the space on my Xbox to have a whole game to be run off my Xbox (of course this is Minecraft). I have at least 32 GB on my Xbox 360's hard-drive (It's about a 120 GB, or something like that...).
But Seriously. NO GAME ON THE XBL takes up that much space. Not even full 360 games. The largest one I've seen is like 8GB. At most it will probably take up 1 or 2GB

but seriously lol no worries, the very absolute extreme most this game should take up is like 2 gigs, but it'll probably be under 1. And the biggest game I've ever seen on xbox is battlefield 3. I have a 250 gig hd so i just install all my games and i think after installing BOTH discs and the HD thing bf3 took up somewhere between 15 and 20 gigs, which is kind of ridiculous, but worth it :smile.gif:

I forgot about BF3. It has a 5 GB update for its 5GB update. And then it has the HD textures that takes up like 6 GB. And has an expansion that takes up any free space you have left.

On the back of the cover of Battlefield 3 it says "2 GB HDD installation recommended for optimal visual quality, hard drive required".
I installed it and it only took 6 - 9 GB for the game, 2 GB for the HD installation, but i dont really know how much is needed for the Karkand map pack, since the maps and vehicles have been remade with the Frostbite 2 engine i think it should take up about 3 GB.
Somewhere between 0 - 3 GB.
So I may have exaggerated a bit. But they do have a big multiplayer update that is optional, but you need to do most of the online. But BF is notorious for its ridiculous amount of downloads and the size of them...
Well yes. But see it also uses a java virtual machine to run it, which is a separate program. But also C++ files are bigger overall. Console games and computer games are slightly different memory wise....

32 GB is more than enough. Minecraft's base game shouldn't be that big of a file, a couple gigs when we get 1.2+ content at most I would assume. World saves might take up more space, especially if you are one of those people that enjoys doing a lot of exploring or making many saves.

The XCP file for the XBLA Minecraft is 105mb. I'd assume about that size then, depending if it gets updated a bit more or not. Then you gotta consider the fact that the worlds and stuff will take up space also, which I'd assume would be about the same size as the PC worlds...depending on how far into it you go and how much you do and stuff.
What does Battlefield have to do with Minecraft?????? To answer the question... You have more than enough space. It's a simple game and should be well under 1gig for the download. No fancy graphics to worry about. Now updates and future map packs may be a different story. Still WAY under 10 gigs for the lifespan of the game IMO.
Well I looked here to see for myself, but 32 Gigs is outrageous! So I made sure myself. I went to wiki and it said MCXB I looked down to memory and it said 1.5 Gigs! So I woulden't worrry
Its true. Confirmed by this source:My link
