Is there an easier way if the iPod is jailbroken?

Or get the ones from my cydia repo (activate them in winterboard)

dokucraft requires a patcher in the desktop minecraft for the watter, if you have photoshop just put the texture over the default one and erase the water and lava section

So your saying open the terrain.png and erase the water and lava completely?

Will probably try before you reply, but reply anyway.

I tried to pull out the originals before I switched and they were black images, the originals are available online though.
And i figure if all else fails you can pull off your maps then just reinstall.

So x128 and x256 both work for me,
with the exception of the surface of water does not display.

Going to try a method posted above, in an attempt to fix this problem.
    Results later.

Alright. I pulled the originals and put them in a folder on my desktop. It wouldn't let me open them though. I changed my char.png to an awesome skin. I decided to try to change the skin back with the originals that wouldn't open, and it worked! I feel happy now. :smile.gif:

Okay so after a bit of messing around everything is running great!

Currently running "LB Photo Realism x128"

    http://flic.kr/p/aLWxPt

    1. confirmed that ipad2 can run any standard size (x16-x256) terrain.png file.
    2. Most texture packs above x32 do not contain a stationary lava or water texture, you will need to add these yourself.
This can be done in photoshop. If anyone needs a full tutorial ask and you might receive.

Hope this clears some things up.

Before I go and try this, if I put a skin on in my file. Will the skin be shown in a server, I don't think it should. Judging by the way networking works on iOS

No. To the other person, you will look normal. To you, all of the other people will have the skin on.

If you are jail broke, you can simply use an SFTP client on your computer and download the SSH package in Cydia so you can do everything straight from your PC.

Really awesome! Thanks bro. My iPhone will handle up to 128x, but crashes on 256x, as I think it does with everyone else.
I wonder if iPad will do 256x, let me go get mine.
Thanks guys. You didn't click my egg, and now it's dead.
    Hey, that rhymes.

I'm writing an app for jailbroken users to download and install new texture packs on the device, I'll post it here once I'm done.

So, I have just figured out how to install texture packs onto the iOS version of MC:PE. Your device does not need to be jailbroken! Thanks TOTtomdora.

    Tutorial:
    Step 1: Download iExplorer.
Step 2: Plug your iPod/iPhone/iPad into your computer.
Step 3: Download your favorite x16/x32/x64/x128 texture pack, and extract the "terrain.png".
Step 4: Open up iExplorer and go here:

Step 5: Drag the "terrain.png" file into the iExplorer window.
Step 6: Press "Yes" or "OK" to any windows that come up about deleting/replacing.
    Step 7: ???
    PROFIT!
Thanks to TOTtomdora for talking about iExplorer. :smile.gif:

You can also share worlds with this method! :biggrin.gif:

You have successfully installed a texture pack onto Minecraft PE. Enjoy! :smile.gif:

Actually it'll be more easier if your iDevice is Jailbroken.
    1) Install iFile or Buy it from AppStore
    2) Download the texture pack
    3) Do the same thing as said ^^^^
    4) Enjoy :smile.gif:

P.s. I'm new in minecraft... but if anyone has iDevice/Pocket edition Problems, You can consult me. :smile.gif:
