So, I installed the MyCraft texture pack using android pocket tool and now, I want to chang e it, but it stays as MyCraft. Will someone please help me?
The texture stays as MyCraft.
its probably becuase the texturepack your trying to change with it has the same file name, i've noticed that after pocket tool has install a texturepack it actually keeps those textures on the phone so that you can easily switch betwen packs. You're going to have to rename the folder for the texturepack as one of the other file names that are required to install.
on the thread where you downloaded pocket tool from the guy has a list of different filenames that the zip folder can be called. But after you have installed a texturepack it stores that texturepack in the pocket tool folder on the phone.
check the pocket tools folder on your phone and check what folder names are in there, also you have to make sure to hold down on the texturepack name and then click apply when it appears and then click the install texturepack part.
-PocketTool only recognizes textures if it has "texture pack" or "Texture Pack" or "TEXTURE PACK" or "MC-PE" or "PE" or "Pocket Edition" and ".zip" in the name.
if you have already used one of these to install your first texturepack then use a different one
Actually, the texture pack can be named anything you want as long as any of those words are in the file name. For example, I could have:
It doesnt make a difference to PocketTool as long as any keyword is in there. Also, if a texture pack fails to be changed, its most likely a problem with the zip folder of the texture pack (ie, the assets folder not being in the root of the zip). On a side note, the folders that PocketTool creates when a texture is installed is an unzipped version of it. This is done to save time when switching between many textures because otherwise itd take almost an entire minute to install a texture, everytime (not including the time to uninstall/install minecraft pe).
sorry for double post and typos my tabs keyboard went crazy... if assets isnt the first folder, keep going till you find it, and cut and paste the assets folder to root folder with the same name as the .zip file. delete the left over empty folders, they're just clutter now that you have your "assets" in place. if the problem is that the .zips have the same name, just find the old texture folder in pockettool, and rename it. you said the old one is mycraft, rename the texture.zip folder(or whatever it's called) to something you can rember, like mycraftMCPE.zip (or what ever you like as long it contains one of the above mentioned keywords) if you need a file browser, ESfileSysyem is a really good free app. you'll be able to find it in whatever app store you use. if you want unzip the textures yourself, id suggest Fx pro ( i use a combo both. both allow device/root access, but Es transfers files better, has a recyclebin and medialayer, makes it easy to setup a lan with your pc, and buffers media streamed between your devices for better playback... Fx has a better gui, zip function, has better advanced search option and /root navigation- in my opinion)
if you're still having problems, buy the blocklauncher pro from your app store, it's only 2.17us$, which i think is like 1.00gbs/.85eu
