I want to try the beta, but idk what will happen when the update goes public. I know that if i use the experimental features i may not be able to use that world, but what if i dont enable those features?
anyone have experience with previous betas? were there any problems with your worlds after updating to the public releases from betas, or did the update go seamlessly?
main reason i ask is because if i enable the beta and then decide to stop using it i will have to redownload all dlc and backup all my custom dlc and worlds before uninstalling beta and reinstalling release. last time i couldn't get it to install the release version properly and was stuck on beta for a few days after opting back out in the xbox insider app
The general idea is that is you use the worlds in the beta they "should" work on the live update just fine. The main thing to be concerned about is that within the betas issues can happen that will end up messing with the world. If you really dont want to loose progress on the world, just wait for the full release.
i guess the full release should be available soon anyways, i just made a new world for the beta with the same seed as my old world and it has ruins and sunken ship near spawn so i will prolly wanna make my world again when the release comes anyways. guess i will just mess around on this new world til the release happens...
thanks for the clarification. i figured that would be how it is, just wanted to make sure
