i don't trust java, because websites can use it to infect your computer with malware. so i don't want to install it. optifine is a .jar file, but im wondering if it could come with a .json file as well so i can put it in my versions without having to actually download java.
OptiFine isn't for Pocket Edition, also, no. Minecraft: Java Edition is literally running on Java. It can't be anything but a .jar, and that's not how Java works. If you're downloading OptiFine from the official website there is nothing to worry about.
