Fixed the bugs listed above, added new game engine in preparation to tie into hxRedstone.
Now you can increase (up to 99 seconds) and decrease delays (down to zero) with the use of wooden hoe and wooden shovel.
Removed the Done! As each action is now independent. You can open and close as many doors in parallel. Overhead styles are limited to 5.

Quick Update from V1.0 to 1.1. I added the ability for nearly unlimited height (to save the script from going nuts, I limited it to 120 blocks of height).
I also added new names for the signs if you want to use FIRE as a fire pit that you can turn on and off. Remember, if you want fire, you need to use the AXE (not pickaxe) to select a TORCH as the block type. I suggest using Netherrack as that burns forever. Otherwise the fire will eventually go out (as it does with Flint and Steel). Also, remember you are selecting the ACTUAL blocks you want to turn into fire, so I would determine where you want the fire, place a block in that location, then tap with the sword. Repeat at position 2. Then work the sign as normal.
Now, you will see Burninating (Homestar Runner fame) and Dowsed for fire.

The Axe is used to select what material to make the overhead door from. This value is NOT sticky, but remains as long as the script is running.
Ex: If you want bedrock as your door
First load the game
Ride your minecart down to bedrock
Tap it with your Axe
Ride back up and follow the below procedure
The value will be embedded into the sign (see about signs), which will be stored as part of your game (watch video for workaround)
If you do not use the AXE, the default is 1/2 slabs of stone, you do NOT have to use this if you are only linking a swing door to your sign
if you want something else, make certain to choose that before you tap the sign
Use Sword to pick two coordinates (see video)
If you need to pick a second time, tap another block twice - follow the messages in the upper left side of the screen)
For a Man Door, either have two doors, or choose the same door coordinates for the single door
For a Man Door, CHOOSE THE BOTTOM HALF of the DOOR only
The Script will determine if you selected a swing door
For overhead style, the only restriction on the coordinates is that you will need to choose 3 blocks high for smooth operation at this time
Next travel to location where you want to place the "button" (Sign)
Place Sign - enter only the NAME of the door in the FIRST line (Keep the number of characters to less than 15!), unless you are doing a timed door. Then enter #
keep the entire string to less than 15 characters! The number is the number of seconds AFTER you first click the sign, that a toggle action will occur
Sign Seeding / Button Creation:
Once you have coordinates selected, tap the sign to drop the coordinates and type of door on to the sign.
the script will determine if you are operating a swing door or overhead door
If you use the pickaxe on a sign that has been populated with name, type and coordinates, the pickaxe can be used as a copy/paste mechanism
That is, if you placed a bunch of signs, then go to a populated sign, tap with the pickaxe.
This will pickup the sign information, which allows you to populate the other signs that are not already assigned to a door.
Pickaxe can also be used to toggle the default state of a sign (see video), read the messages as you tap signs
To reset a sign, break it and place it, repeat sign seeding steps above, or start from the first step
Although the mod is “lazy” in that it allows you to choose things like trapdoors, torches, they are not stackable...so you end up with a pile of trapdoors on the ground where the gate should be
My kids found that if you chose a GATE piece, they ARE stackable and actually look really cool when they are up (like a gate on an old castle) See Video

Swing Doors - or Man Doors (single or double wide)... Can be iron or wood
I wanted to have Iron Doors...I did not spend ALL that time generating Obsidian for my walls just to have wooden doors...
Trapdoors (can be an array of doors)
Needed a way to keep the spawned mobs out of my compound grounds, it was getting annoying taking a minecart over my wall...so, why not dig a hole down and around putting a set of trapdoors? That works, but MAN opening and closing THAT many doors gets really annoying...
Future Plans:
I am planning to add retractable “doors”, which I guess should really be interpreted as a draw bridge.
Once the retractable floor is complete, I would also like to add on a powered rail bridge, so you can have a drawbridge which allows you to have your minecarts ride across.
I also would like the trap doors to open more like a wave. Right now, the script just toggles all the doors in one shot.
Make selecting doors more human proof. Right now, if you do not select the door properly, the script will WIPE out the door you chose (annoying)
Rewrite the overhead door algorithm
Right now it is based on Lambo’s original Garage Door script (with permission)
He suggested I rewrite it as it was one of his first scripts, I agree, but it got me an end to my mean as more quickly than had I gone at this from scratch
Which leads me to my next point
Add capability to toggle multiple doors at the same time
due to a limitation in HOW the script operates, if you toggle more than 1 sign at a time, there is a good chance the algorithm will goof up and multiple signs might end up mis-programmed...the only way to correct this is to only tap the NEXT sign AFTER you get the “Done” message
I put in a little bit of code to try to prevent this, but at least until I re-write the main engine, it was more of a PAIN to protect the user from this than to re-write, because...well...you know: http://imgur.com/gallery/O8VQ5Dm
Setup a pairing capability
Right now, the mod can have signs that are copies of each other, however they are not all updated when the door toggles state. With the new engine, I’ll be able to add this so when you toggle a door, all signs that are associated together will all show the true state at the same time

Useful for having a gate and a drawbridge open/close at the same time

I'm nearly done with the Draw Bridge option. I'm also toying with an idea to add a "farm" option. It seems my mod can actually PLANT dirt as well!
Also a few bugs and I'm trying to work out how to include the "damage" level for block selection. For instance, if you choose the carved stone (the one with the squares in it), when the Mod puts the blocks back, it will be PLAIN stone, not the carved stone (which is regular stone with a damage level associated with it).
Also, if you have suggestions on things that you would like to see, let me know!

Trying to see if I can take over Hao's Redstone mod. I think there is a TON of potential. Mating Super Door Operator with that would make for some really epic builds!

I have run into an issue with two MODS that I would like this to work along side.
1) HaoHao's redstone mod...seems to make this mod not understand when a SDO2K sign is there and it breaks this feature set
2) based on the last version of Better Storage (v1.2) barrels now use signs
To fix 1, I'll just have to dig in and fix it!
To fix 2, I think I'll toss a special character into the sign to show that it is an SDO2K sign. Heck, this might also fix issue #1.
Thanks to everyone for their patience! I was working on draw bridges when I ran across HaoHao's Redstone mod and decided to mess around with it and see if I could take it over. I've made some significant progress with it!

Showing the full drawbridge working! Chains added, and I decided to use logs in the demo.
I have a few bugs to squash, one being the direction of the drawabridge does not seem to be happy unless facing west (I'm sure I just messed up sliding variables around based on direction). The second - which also plagues hxRedstone...direction calculation. Maybe instead of using a calculation with getYaw() I just have to do something else...Any suggestions?

For those that are having issues getting the slabs to be something OTHER than half slabs...
The key is, use an Axe! I've not thoroughly tested every possible combination...so if you are having issues and can list the exact procedure you use that would be good.
What I tend to do is select the block I want to use with the axe FIRST. Then I use the sword to select coordinates and just set the sign. The block ID and damage value should be listed as the last value for line 2 and 3. If it is not, go select the block you want to use with the axe. Then tap the sign twice. Once to tell Minecraft what you want to do, and the second to confirm.
Finally, remember to SET a sign adjacent to the one with text on it. Then exit the map and go back in. Otherwise Minecraft won't save the data. I've got a way to work around it, but it is quite a bit of code...so I've not worked on the solution.
You can also use the shovel and hoe to increase or decrease delays.
