There should be a way to make it visually see that the companion has leveled up other than the name tag...
Like...Different color particles? (weapons upgrade would be nice, but that is out of the picture)
Idea #1
Maybe there should be different types of companions? Like at first the companion is a regular companion and another companion is a fire aspect attribute companion? Like Craftable Companions mod? LOL (I am kinda kidding with this idea...)
Idea #2
The companion gets "enchanted" effects as it levels up
E.G
Level 1: Damage 1
Level 2: Damage 2
Level 3: Damage 2 with fire aspect
Level 4: Damage 3 with something else?
And so on...
Random Idea #X
The coding seems to have the perfect potential to make the best wolf mod ever! Just change the companion into a wolf? Lol
But don't get me wrong, I love the idea of a human companion! Makes it so lively!
I will work for it maybe, upgrades for companion that when he level up he learn a skill
MyNameIsAnti has already made a mod with the wolf
add a features which make him can give us stuf? like woods or foods or something else?
Good idea, I can do this!
But now I'm working on my new mod Portal 2, and I don't have the time to work on this mod but when the school finishes (only two weeks :D) i will update the companion mod!
Why don't you change what mob it is so instead of making it be a cow, make it be a skeleton but make it not agro on the player. The skeleton can hold a bow so why not anything else?
I don't know how to make the skeleton not aggressive
well, can u add an item that if we tap it on the companion, the companion will stop following u, but if u tap him with the item again he will follow u back? and can u make an item that can make the companion teleport to us when we hit the item on the ground?

Yes these two things are not difficult to do and I can make them
to save the skin and render just use Entity.getUniqueId(); and save it and loaded for every companion when you enter and leave the world. Then you can set the skin bl_setMobSkin(); and the render type Entity.setRenderType();
If i helped just press the arrow in the corner and if you can say that i helped you in the main thread
Yes you are right, I can get the unique ID save it on a file in the internal storage inside the map and when entering the game I can load the file, and so I can load the skin and the name and then spawn the companion
No matter what skin I use they're always all white. I think I might know what the problem is so I came to ask you if it's because I'm using 9.1 and I'm guessing this is still like 8.1?

Because blocklauncher 1.7 don't support overrideTexture() API that this mod use, we have to wait for a new blocklauncher update

Is it possible to make your companion not only a human, but other mobs as well? (I want to have a creeper companion fight a creeper!)
Oh yes it's possible, and is also easy, but now I'm working on the portal so only when I finished it I will update this mod
