This tutorial will teach you how to set up your Minecraft Pocket Edition such that it is decrypted and can be modded.
This guide does not use apps that download pirated copies of the game and is legal. It is also fairly easy to avoid the use of these illegal apps as they are not necessary.
-Your device must be jailbroken
-You must have an updated version of MCPE, re-download if you are not sure
-You must have iFile/MyFile/iFunBox/iExplorer etc...
-You will need the following apps from the following repo http://cydia.myrepospace.com/siris
MCPE Patch (by Intyre)
iMCPEdit is also there, this is an inventory editor and will not be explained here (by Intyre) Removed for 0.6.0 incompatibility
-You need Mobile terminal
Part 1: Decrypting and Installing the App
1)Open mobile terminal
2)Type the following as shown
3)Once this is done the file is stored in /var/root/documents/cracked, go there now with iFile/MyFile/iExporer/iFunBox/etc...
4)Rename the ipa file and change .ipa to .zip, this is an easy way to convert it
5)Open up the zip file and under the payload folder there should be another folder called minecraftpe.app containing a file named minecraftpe (no extension)
6)Copy and paste this file into your normal minecraftpe.app folder (/var/mobile/applications/*varies*/minecraftpe.app)
7)This will overwrite the old one and your mcpe will be decrypted
Part 2: Installing the Mods
1)Go onto the modding thread of your choice and click and hold the mod link, when the menu comes up, hit copy
2)After installing MCPEPatch open the app and click the downloads tab
(*Note, the patcher is not updated, the patcher works fine but the multiplayer will not work)
3)Here, paste the mod link into the text box and click download
Part 3: Toggling the Mods
1)After the mod is downloaded, it will appear in the mods tab
2)To apply the mod, simply click it and a check mark will appear, this tells you that it is selected
3)Select all mods you wish to apply
4)After all mods are selected, click the apply patches button
5)To unpatch the mod, do the same thing to a mod that is already patched
oh my gawd. someone actually got up and wrote something, so that newer mod users and stuff will understand what to do, without us being driven grazy by all the questions. props to you, chimera
The main reason of this thread is to teach people how to legally install a decrypted version, I have noticed many people were struggling on installing a decrypted version so I thought this was necessary, thanks though
