Hello Players of Pocket Edition!
I have been working on this map for a while, it is another The Walls port.
I started work on it before finding that others on the forum had had the same idea as me.
But my port is different! Using my own redstone alternatives (although others have also had some of the same ideas), it is a fully automated system, that has a timer for the walls. All you have to do is start the game via punching a piece of redstone ore, and voila, players are released, and the walls fall after about 22 minutes.
I worked on this mostly using MCedit, and mostly in 0.5.0 when I had to use lava walls. These didn't work so great, so I couldn't release it back then. But since 0.6.0, I started converting it to use sand and now that 0.6.1 has fixed bugs, it's pretty much ready.
Download (map v. a1.1) The download also has a text file with rules etc.
Note: Screenshots were taken in Creative mode for easy maneuverability, the host will normally be in survival along with joining players.
The spawn room, with rules etc.
The start capsule, you can only get out once the water has started flowing (here it is already)
One of the four quadrants.
Corner from above.
The start button, hit this and everything works by itself!
What is The Walls PvP?
The Walls is a minecraft map, originally by Hypixel. It is based around four areas of a few chunks each, populated by normal features like trees, ores etc. The four quadrants are separated by large walls, which will fall after a certain period of time from the start of the game. Each player must use their time to prepare by crafting weapons, tools and armour to fight once the walls fall. The last man standing of all the players wins the game.
In-Game Rules for Players
Wait in the spawn room until all players arrive. There is NO PVP allowed before the game starts. All players may sleep before the game.
No entering the spectator platform until after dying, or if just spectaing from the beginning.
No breaking blocks in the spawn room, capsule or spectator deck.
You may not climb the ladder to the start room.
2 players will walk down each opposite hallway, unless the host is also a player, in which case there will be 2 in one hallway and one in the other.
Each player will walk down one of the staircases on either side at the end of the tunnel. Then they must drop down and sit inside their hole to wait for the game to start.
Once water flows into your capsule, you will be able to leave and start preparing.
You may not re-enter your capsule, climb back up into the stairway where you entered, build above the wall's height, build at all on or beyond the bedrock boundary of your corner, break any part of the wall or build around said wall.
Players, except the host if also playing, are allowed NO MODS. Not even an increased render distance
Once the walls drop after ~22 minutes, you are free to enter the other corners and attack players.
In-Game Rules for Host/Admin
Wait in the spawn room until all players arrive.
Climb the ladder to the start room, and wait ~30 seconds for the players to reach their start points.
Punch the redstone ore in the top of one wall, and, if playing, hoof it to your own corner. You may use a fly in survival mode mod, but only at this point. There is a door for this purpose.
Wait along with other players in your capsule, and follow player rules.
Different map versions, for different timings, and possibly themed maps (Nether, Snow etc.)
Any needed fixes

Awesome i might do a trailer of this map
And i have an idea for new themes: nether
This is one that I am planning to do, now that we have netherrack. The walls will also be gravel and there will be some glowstone etc.
If you make a trailer, I'll happily subscribe to you and add it to the OP if you'd like
Absolutely amazing map. These are the first steps into minecraft Pocket Edition redstone. One of the best maps I've ever seen on MCPE. But, there is ONE thing that must be made by you. The Walls 2!!! Please! It is much better than the walls 1, because it has diamonds and the middle plus more!
