I'm new to Minecraft, so bear with me...I don't understand how to download maps, mods, and texture packs to PE. I tried downloading two maps from the forums, but both went to a website that closed out and then opened up the app (in the App Store) 'Hotspot Shield VPN for Iphone.' Has it been hacked? Thank you in advance!

the two sites are best in my opinion you can also submits maps and stuff there.
BlockLauncher / BlockLauncher Pro are programs to run them. And or if your device is compatible then try PocketTool.
Their is an app for Android where it has many good maps to download Maps really easily!
