So, I want to know if there's any way to change my old world to infinite, add caves, or do any of that new stuff. If its possible, please explain how. And if not possible, well thanks anyways! Please be specific and no jail breaking editors.
I can't either, even though the Minecraft Wiki said that you could change old worlds to infinite in 0.9.0. Hopefully that will become an option in 0.9.1.
This feature won't be available until 0.9.1 Mojang PE wasn't able to add this and some other features promised in 0.9.0 due to time restraints I believe but they will be added in 0.9.1 or 0.9.x (anywhere between 0.9.2- 0.9.9)
don't expect the ipod 4 to handle infinite worlds very well you see the ipod 4 only has 214 MB of RAM (ram is random access memory you know how when on a computer it takes time for the program to load up but after that its extremely fast until the pc is off thats because the app data is being stored on the RAM) which is a vey low amount (all other devices besides iPhone 3GS have 512 MB which is better but iphone 5 and up ipad 3-4 have 1 gig of RAM) now only does it have little ram is has a very old processor known as the A4 chip (ipod 5 iPhone 4s have the A5 chip while iPad 3 and up have the A5x chip and up and iphone 5 has A6 chip and up but it varies depending on your generation) so expect quite a bit of crashing to minimize that DON'T go all the way up in the sky and make sure you have a very small view distance (also close all your apps by double tapping the home button and holding down on the apps in the black bar then press the red - button on ALL of the then do an optional full Restart by fully pressing the power button and shutting down but this is required for bigger apps)
i know this is pretty big and might be hard for others to understand so I will try to explain it better If you ask me but I hope this shines some light on why the ipod 4 almost always get left behind
Yeah I kinda thought about the RAM too and before the update Mcpe would crash anyway but now it's practically unplayable. I have a 16 gb with over 8 gb free. I just hope there are improvements very soon.
This was planned for 0.9.1 but that's actually bugfix. 0.9.2? I still have 4 bugs on 0.9.1 though. Also it will have old generation (unless debate changes their minds)
Actually you can make your old world (the one that's not infinite) infinite!
FOR IOS:
So what you need to do is follow the steps:
1) Play your old world.
2) Download ifunbox on pc or if jailbroken use ifile.
3) Create a new survival/creative world in infinite terrain
4) go into ifile or ifunbox, go to applications/minecraftpe/documents/com.mojang/minecraftworlds/NameOfOldWorldHere
5) copy the 'db folder' inside your old world then go to the folder of your new survival world and paste/overwrite that db folderwith the db folder from your old world.
6) go on your new survival world you created at the start and there you go your old world is infinite.

I think you should try to delete useless worlds that you don't need. You will be surprised on how much space they have been taking up. Oh, and infinite worlds are small. I went out 2500 blocks and the size of the world was 4.78 MB.
You also probably disabled the "Limit World Size" switch in the options.
How do you get infinite worlds in MCPE? I read that you coulI in 0.9.1, but you can't in 0.9.5, and I wanted Emeralds in my best world, but now I suppose I can't have them.
Unfortunately you can't change them in 0.9.5.
In the world creation screen, click on the button that says: "Advanced". You can now choose infinite. If "Infinite" is grayed out, your device is unsupported or you need to turn off the world limit.
To turn off the world limit, go to where you find the "Toggle GUI" switch. There should be a new switch on old devices called "Limit World Size". Set that to off. Now go back and create a new world. The "Infinite" button should be able to be selected.
NOTE: You cant make old worlds infinite right now. The option is suppose to be put in 0.9.6 or 0.10.0. Go here for more information.

Creeper Gonna Creep!
And an iPod Touch 4th generation is unsupported for infinite worlds. You will get a message saying that the device is unsupported.
If you want infinite worlds currently, you will need to generate a new world while the "Limit World Size" switch is off.
To sum it up: Changing old worlds to infinite will come in a future update. If you go here you get a better explanation of what I mean.
Hope this helps!
