How can I use 0.7.2 on ios to play on 7.0.4

I think you mean to say this: "How can I play someone running 0.7.4 when I'm running 0.7.2?"
The answer: you can't. If you're running iOS, I don't see why you don't update? Unless you're running iOS 4, on some crappy low-gen device, then I could see why you can't update regardless.
i haven't tried joining 0.7.4 servers while on 0.7.2 (with mods), but i have no problem connecting to 0.7.3 servers. i guess it's the same thing, regardless of the version you can still join but you would encounter some bugs and crashes here and there...
