Hi all. I am considering buying pocket edition, but I am wondering if there is any gameplay mechanic significantly different to the demo?
In the demo, I played survival mode. During the first day, I built a square wall. I stood within the wall. The monsters came out at night, but could not get me.
I had survived!
I was very proud of myself. I mucked around a bit the next day, digging a bit of a hole, and poking around at some items. The next night, I survived the same way (standing in my square wall).
But then it occurred to me, why not just stand in this square wall forever? I will survive, therefore I will be winning. There does not seem to be any game mechanic to apply any time pressure to me (food?), nor any monsters which can overcome my masterful technique (square wall).
So, why is surviving so easy? Am I missing something?
your motive is upgrade yourself so you dont die when you leave your wall its ok to die but wait can you respawn in the demo? Cocky_Monkey is the coolest guy ever. He also wrote these extra comments for fun. Lololoolololololololololololololol.
Yes you can. But why stay in the wall? You just mine, build. Why not go hunting for zombies who don't drop anything in the demo. Ah, I remember that I found my first diamond in the lite version, a one piece. Anyways, it is a sandbox game. You don't have to survive, you can do whatever you want! My motive is to make my valley a farm valley! Currently I have a mob tower killing thingy spawner, and a gold farm. Doesn't sound like much but I mine and help my cousin's in mah world. Shoot I'm bad at ending things....... I iz cuuuuuuuuuuuuuoooooooooooool.

The full version is really behind in updates, and updates really slowly. I my opinion if you save up for a PC account, it's more worth it.
Just my opinion, but as your question asks, I think you are supposed to build and explore, and cram your invintory with items!!
LOL

This part is the focus of my question. What is my motive?
I can only think of an anti-motive. I if I leave my square wall, I may die. This is not conducive to survival.
My motive is to try to build something great while in survival so I feel way more accomplished than if I do it in creative.
