I like them both, each for their own reasons. One of the things I do like about SC is the hunger and tiredness system. But... I know you'll reply with: "This will be added in the distant future". Consider that SC might have all those MCPE things too at some point in the future. It's a moot point. We're NOT in the future, we are here and now.
As said, I like MCPE too, but it's less matured. Sure the newly added biomes are great and there is a lot of good to say about where it is at now. The lack of "gamemode" switching is one of the annoyingly lacking features of MCPE, for me.
SC has magnets and compasses pointing to either the last sleeping position or the magnet. This is something I do like and miss in MC(PE). A compass pointing to spawn is utterly useless in my view. (I don't use it on PC either for the very same reason).
So let's talk about the pros and cons. Discuss what is in MCPE 0.8.x (or 0.9.0 alpha 5) and SC 1.12.x. This thread is called: MCPE vs SC: Which is right for me? [Information thread] (No wars/debates)

You are mistaken about the betas, Android devices have betas, iOS does not have beta version for new updates.
I have tried to update several times, for some reason the toolbar is messed up, which causes the main post to become scrambled whenever I update it. So unfortunately, the main post can't be updated. Also, considering the flame wars and such have stopped there is no need to update. While I do appreciate the fact that this has helped people and stopped the fighting, I do not think it needs to be bumped any more. If people still need this post, a mod can sticky it, however that will more than likely not happen since it involves a game that has nothing to do with what these forums are about. This leaves one other thing, the search bar. Or, there is also my signature option which is in the main post as well.
