Johan said that he was going to "look" at online multiplayer and armour next. Not promising that these features would actually make it into the release.
If you don't mind me asking but I am wondering when did he say this?
Well actually I played a little MCPE and I saw some more features in MCPE 6.0 3 of them in fact. The 1st one is signs yes but ther just half in the game. The 2nd one is online multiplayer and cakes, I know this sounds really weird but I was messing about on the forums and someone made a topic called minecon bug? So I tapped on it and the bug was the minecon logo next to the multiplayer options il post a picture soon. Why is this online multiplayer you mite say? Well someone replyed 'does this mean that online multiplayer will be anounced at minecon?' somebody replied to him that its hard to keep secrets. And the cake is because everybody saw sugar in the crafting recipe. Now the 3rd one maybe hard to believe so il put it in a spoiler [spoiler] cobwebs and redstone! Cobwebs u can hack in and it said 'redstone' under the door recipe!
i sort of believe you except for the fact that none of those features have been confirmed. no real solid evidence they will be in 0.6.0 yet. hints that they are working on and developing it, yes. but no real proof

Most of the stuff you said I already included in the original post. Redstone most likely will not come soon unless the next update will be a BIG one. The description of items in the crafting table does not have to do with the game version itself. Sugar and doors have had the same description since 0.3.0 when crafting came out. Whereas the Minecon bug was caused by darfkfurry's mystery mod. Your theory might be correct but we'll never know until Minecon. As for the cobwebs and signs, almost everyone on the Pocket Edition forum knows that.
it seems the noobs come out at night
Johan is head dev as far as we know.
signs don't work.
hopefully there is armor, PLEAZE JOHAN GIVE US ARMOR! :'(" " " " " " " " "
1. Johan seems like he would be a better head developer considering the fact that he constructs some of the more larger features of Pocket Edition.
2. Signs do work, but they're very buggy. I've been messing with the hex coding for the past couple days. You can hex them into the game, but writing on them is a pain.
3. I also hope armor is implemented, but if you think about it, it is most likely a tad difficult to code. You have to consider the fact of how much protection each set of armor has, how much it is decreased by per hit, in what armor piece the damage is sent to, how much protection you have when you have many different types of armor equipped, etc. Once the numbering is done though, it is very probable. Therefore, I don't see a big problem with implementing armor.
I realize this is an older post, but i felt the need to reply to it.

can they not just copy and paste the armor values from PC?
can they not just copy and paste the armor values from PC?
They Might, but only the numbers if it was even possible, since Minecraft PC is coded in java. I don't think that would affect the values though. I don't think it would be hard to rewrite the values, though, since the amounts are practically already there on the PC version.

You can already get signs (ID:323 or 68) with text but you have to hex edit the text in (see WorldOfGamingTV1 for tut.) and red stone is not confirmed, it is a POSSIBILITY, and you can get cobwebs (ID:30)

Signs: Dec. 323 and Hex is 143 if i'm not mistaken. I could be wrong, though.
And redstone is one of my main wishes. As you can see by my profile picture, I am a big redstone user. I have been looking at coding of it on the PC, though, and it doesn't look like it will be coming any time soon, unless they find a way to make the redstone work without demolishing the game's performance.
As for cobwebs, they are practically confirmed for 0.6.0 despite Johan not saying so. They are pretty much complete.
I think, though, that a large majority of Pocket Edition players would stop complaining for a while if the graphics on MCPE were improved to match, or at least partially match, the texture of Minecraft PC. Have you ever noticed how different the colors are on MCPE and MC PC? Changing the colors would be nice. That also leaves the sky, though. As for that, i don't see any problem in it, as far as the sun and moon go. Just a couple of moving GUIs on a moving sky. The clouds might be a small problem, but easily fixed. I don't know how it would affect performance, though.

No one's mentioned sneaking yet? Tsk tsk. It's available on Xperia Play and accessible via the left analog stick. The character only crouches on the client, but any other player can see a noticeable decline in latitude as the player sinks into the block underneath. It has all the effects, however. You can lean on egdes, speed is decreased, all we need now is name tags.
I was looking through the 0.5.0 MCPE assets folder and I found some new things. First, in the gui folder, there's a folder called "Badge" with a logo of Minecon. I'm not sure what this means but, I guess we'll see in the future.Next, in the items folder, there is a sign.png file with the sign texture along with a chest.png with thetextures of a 3D lock chest. In the gui folder, a file called 123123.png was added and shows one of the devs fooling around. And also, in the lib folder, there's a new file but I have no clue about modding so I'll leave that to the pros.
I remember asking him for locked chests in the bug tracker xD
