If you live near a Big Lots , they always have tablets ranging frm $70 - $130 . That can all run Minecraft PE. I purchaed a Pandigital Planet with frnt and rear camera 7" for $115 and recently purchased a Polaroid 7" for $ 99
Not the best brands , but remarkable for the cheap prices . They now have 4.0 8" tablets for $89… I might buy another one just for the **** of it
The Nexus 7 is pure awesome. I've been playing some PE on it and I don't really feel like the screen is too cramped. I also have a Xoom that I play on, and the Nexus runs PE a little smoother.
I'd say Nexus 7 for the ease of not having to put a custom ROM on it. Oh and it's seriously beasty when overclocked to 1.64Ghz (over 7000 in quadrant ) It's almost twice as fast as the HTC One X.
Even without overclocking, project butter has android running smoother than any existing android device. Also, the HP touchpad is pretty dated.
