This is almost compleletly off topic but I used to be a heavy Android user, then one day I took a look on all the iOS apps that never came to Android and I raged. Call of Duty zombies, Junk jack, temple run? >.< After a couple of days I said "Screw it!" Jailbroke my iPod 4G and ever since I've been meeting many disadvantages for months after switching to iOS and that Android was a place where modders florished where iOS it actually took time to break in and be able to mod things such as firmware. Apple was more secure about it which was fine but Apple was sometimes oversecure and many apps that could be useful to Apple only came to Android, don't know why.
So im back to my old Android where my battery life is boss, Im able to install sweet looking custom firmwares, etc etc etc and my performance in applications and games is amazing xP
Not trying to start a "iOS V.S. Android Phone war" but I just felt like saying this.
Android is more comfortable to me in my opinion and to those iOS users enjoy your phone/iOS device if its more comfortable to you
iOS-Closed environment, no viruses.
Android-Open environment, viruses.
That about sums it up.
Well during the time I used Android heavily I had no viruses but Im not going to defend against it. We do have mods and lots of freedom with Android, but run the risk of viruses. Its why I use Norton on my Android, I notice no slow down and it still runs fast.
iOS- Closed Environment: Oversecure, mods are struggling to find legal and simple ways to get implemented.
Android- Open Environment: Not as secure, mods are free to do what they please under legal circumstances, simple way to get mods implemented. Viruses are a big consequence and smart android users shouldn't have problems running Android like how most people run windows on there PC's and keep an active eye out for viruses.
iOS-Closed environment, making apps/mods is hard because of the security system, apps take a very long time to come in the store.
Android-Open environment, making apps/mods is easy because it is more open, and not so secure that you can't do anything, apps take a very short time before they are visible in the market
Now you again
PS, for viruses are security suites, and if you will use lookout like I do, then if your device is missing it can tell you where it is and you can lock it by password
Pretty much this. Android can become more secure if you want to by customizing it to using security suites.
I hate how iOS has sich better games. I am amgry, cuz iOS has awesome games like call of.duty zombies and a game called.battleshipcraft tjat I like, while android is stuck woth crappy games. I wamted to play bscraft on my amdroid, nut all i see are.****ing, boring copies.of battleship.

Yeah it sucks, but recently on Call of Dutys website there was a post accidentally put up that said "CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS ZOMBIES ANDROID FIELD BOOK". iOS has one but when this was put up people quickly posted about it until it was taken down. So its strongly hinted that Android's gonna get black ops zombies !

... I got a couple of Android viruses on my first DAY with an Android phone.........
Android only gets viruses if you are totally stupid and don't use your eyes. Apple pulled down an app that was supposedly a virus from the app store about a week ago, so you're not immune
To tell you the truth, pretty much you can only get viruses if your dumb. I mean if you can find your Android phone getting viruses then I dont even know how you can possibly manage your own computer.

I've yet to see any type of virus on my android. I've had android phones for 3 years now and been just fine. I download from the play market, amazon market, toshiba, getjar, yaam, etc. I've also gotten things from sites like 4shared and different android forums. My current phone is a evo 3d thats been rooted. No problem there either. Just a really fast phone, nice themes to flash, insane batter life (see pic below) and many other benefits. Any free app on apple is a trial or heavy with ads. They really lack quality free aps. I don't really care for gaming on my phone. But I do have one game that is pretty cool. Plus I can use a ps3 controller on my phone and hook it up to my flat screen with the hdmi. Plus if you were ever to get a virus on a rooted android it's no big deal. Just restore a recent clean backup. Phone will fix itself in 5 mins. Apple gets a software update when they decide you can have it. Android users can get it as soon as it's leaked and a developer tweaks it. Usually only a matter of days. Sure it may have a few little bugs here and there but it's worth it. I've had ice cream sandwich on my phone for 3 months or so and it still hasn't been released officially yet. There's a few developers working on android 4.1 jelly bean which no phone has yet. Only device running 4.1 is the brand new google nexus tablet
Now I do have to give it to apple for having a standard 30 pin port for docking with a million different toys. Would be nice to have a standard android port to use with car/home stereo docks and other accessories. But that's all about to change though. I can see apple pissing off a lot of current customers with their new Iphone 5. They're changing their 30 pin port to a 19 pin port. So all those accessories will be useless. Now I'm sure they'll have a 30 to 19 pin adapter, no thanks. Wanna watch tv on your ipad on your big screen? No problem, just buy a $50 plus adapter to plug in a hdmi cable. My android tablet can do that w/out an extra cost. I love having a android phone and tablet that can run circles around apple stuff for less money.
Finally I can spend less money on one android phone and updating it, rather than having to buy the newest iphone to get the latest stuff. Sprint just released the new Htc evo 4g lte. Sure the camera is fast and runs a dual core 1.5 proccessor. Taking pictures really fast isn't much to make me upgrade. But wait, the evo 4g lte has beats audio. So do I, have been running beats for months on top of great battery life on a processor over clocked at 1.7

I would have to agree; I loved my iPod Touch 4g. It's jailbroken, has great tweaks and things installed, made my own theme for dreamboard, but I still love my Galaxy Tab 10.1 more. (My Droid Incredible 2 broke).
Also, get Pershoot's kernel for your android device, it overclocks it beastly.
I loved my phone, and love my tablet because of how much more I could get.
Oh, and another thing, developing on Android is SO much easier. xP

I agree with all of this.and about the PS3 thing, YES! I don't have a PS3 and bought a controller just FOR my tablet. Which is awkward to use since I've had an Xbox 360 for so many years.
Though recently I got the new controller from OnLive. OnLive gaming is so epic. I wrote a review on it as well.

You don't need to restate it.
Also MCPE runs on both iOS and Android phones and devices.
Android-Open environment, viruses.

Edit- Windows phone is a nice balance of the two.
i havent played minecraft in like 4 years lol

But you wanna get the best to gurantee compatibility and support for Develelopers.
Then again I still have my 2 year old Samsung Galaxy Captivate and it runs games like MCPE, Shadow gun, Nova 3 smooth.
But they just added a new map Call of the Dead: Directors Cut !

Or the Galaxy S III. *Orgasm*. I'll be getting mine imported since the US won't sell Quad core phones yet.
