Make a VPN connection then go make a Minecraft pe world put the server visible then let your friend put the same VPN connection then if he join he will see you

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE A POCKET EDITION SERVER WITHOUT BEING ON THE SAME WIFI NETWORK. VPN DOES NOT WORK.

It's kind of stupid that you have to be using the same local wifi so if i want to play with my friends i have to go to his house which is really annoying.
