MINECRAFT DSI/3DS!
I wish that minecraft would come out on the DSI and the 3DS it would be really cool why ONLY DSI AND 3DS DS lite has no mic,may have internet, cam.

access to servers using wireless
I will add new ideas when i think of them or you inform me SUGGESTING IN COMMENT ME BE ADDED ON HERE
I am very skeptical that it would ever happen, mostly due to the fact that it's damn near impossible to update portable games without buying a new copy. BUT they could probably fix that by making It dsiware or whatever the similar term for 3DS. As for how i would want them made I would want it to have special versions for both systems that can function together on a server. The only difference between the two would be 3D support and the circle pad for movement or looking. This is all for now :tongue.gif:
You know that all these 3DS request posts like yours ain't gonna change a thing, right? The chance of MC showing up in a 3DS is about the same as you skydiving without a parachute... the second time.
I have a DSi, and it would be the last thing I want to play MC on. I use a 13" iPad2, which is bad enough, but MC on a phone size device- are you kidding me? You'd have to want to play MC really bad to play it on something like a phone.
Let's put one final nail in the "MC on 3DS" coffin.
The DSi has 256 meg ram, 3DS has 512- twice as much, so no problem, right?
Wrong.
In order to get the 3D effect every screen of a game has to be displayed twice, at the same time, each one slightly different and offset. So the effective memory is still 256 megs. That's not near enough to handle MC. Finally, MC would have to be completely rewritten specifically for the 3DS- so not only is Nintendo not going to get MC for years (if ever)- they are not going to port it over again just so it will work on one little specific handheld.
MC on 3DS? Keep wishing,... but it ain't happening, not while you're still young.

It probably won't ever happen, for 3DS. It is actually possible that it'll come out on some future console (4DS? Lolno.). Oh also I now rember that if notch didn't want to set up minecraft with steam, then he sure as hell won't with nintendo.

Your logic is flawed. The fact that you're displaying the same scene twice from slightly different perspectives to get the stereo effect does not mean the memory usage gets doubled. There's all kinds of information that can be shared between the two versions of the scene... Probably the entire display list and any visibility calculations, all the lighting calculations, all the textures, all the map data and general game state stuff like mob position and state, health, inventory and so on can be shared.
...Though, the 3DS doesn't have 512MiB of memory anyway. It has 128MiB of RAM plus another 16 for the graphics chipset. And the DSi had 16MiB of memory. (It always surprises me that gaming systems have so little RAM... It seems like a ridiculous thing to skimp on.)
Another problem is not so much a technical thing, more like a political issue: Nintendo limits what size cartridges publishers are allowed to use on their system, and in the case of downloadable games, they also limit how big a game may be, and how much storage it may use. This was, for instance, one of the reasons that downloadable songs in Guitar Hero and Rock Band for the Wii weren't available initially. So even if a full Minecraft could work on the device, Nintendo might simply not allow it depending on its resource requirements.
I don't honestly know if the 3DS is adequate for Minecraft. The RAM issue aside, the overall specs of the system are a bit on the modest side (dual-core 268MHz ARM, according to the only source I could find...). But that said, a lot depends on what kind of decisions and optimizations you make in the implementation. Since all the scenery is arranged on right-angle planes, a display engine could take advantage of the same kinds of optimizations that made games like Wolfenstein 3-D, Doom, and Duke Nukem 3-D practical 15-20 years ago. At the very least I think something equivalent to the current Pocket Edition would be doable with the right optimizations. Redstone could potentially be a problem. But, on the other hand, the original PSP specs were comparable to the specs of the 3DS, and the PSP was able to run LittleBigPlanet (with its physics engine simulating the operation of user-created objects) - so it's not a question of whether it could handle Redstone, it's a question of how much redstone it could handle. I guess they could cap how much redstone stuff you can put in a level, by capping how much redstone ore they put in the level.
Minecraft on the ds or 3ds? Nope, most likely not going to happen. I'm not goin to crush your dream about minecraft goin on the 3ds or ds, but like what dsilover said, if Minecraft were to update on a ds, you would have to buy a new copy. Also, say that one game of Minecraft on the ds costs about $40. If Minecraft updates on it and you have to buy a new copy for every single update, that's a lot of money you would have to pay. Next, why would Minecraft be on the 3ds? I mean, Minecraft is some-what 3d already.

Ok first off, Minecraft 3DS is a possible idea(not DSi cuz DSi is in the grave, its the dawn of 3D now) because of Circle Pad Pro to look around. But because its not really possible (at least i dont know) to have a game thats not downloaded updated. Therefore Minecraft 3DS Edition would technically have to be a downloadable title (unless Nintendo releases another update on the software) on the Nintendo eShop. And plus the controls you listed wouldnt work, it'd be LEFT SHOULDER-Hit Block and RIGHT SHOULDER- to placd or vice versa
I dont see this happening in the near future due to Mojang being busy with Minecraft on computer, Pocket Edition, Xbox Edition, and other games......but i'd enjoy seeing it.
Minecraft Pocket Edition for 3Ds will Probraly not be Released from the Dvelopers of Minecraft Pocket edition.Maybe in the Future there will be a Version for 3Ds?
For 3Ds,I already knew there was a Lack of Controls for Minecraft PE and Minecraft Pocket Edition Resoulution is way more further than 3Ds.M
I can't believe young guys think their 3DS's are so powerful and that they can handle epic graphics.
Keep on dreaming, your grandkids 2 generations forward will have a handheld computer that has the power of the world's fastest computer.
Minecraft in Xbox 360 Live is quite New to Mojang and it was Released in the Mays. The only Similarity of Minecraft Pocket Edition and Minecraft Xbox is More likely,The Crafting seems the Same however with more Blocks when selected onto a Crafting Table.
Back to our Topic,I agree that 3Ds can't handle Minecraft Pocket Edition as every thing is Pixelated and the Result for 3Ds will be Frosted in a Small Amount. The Techonoly and Control System Schematic and Motherboard is not so Advanced for the Suitable level for Minecraft Pocket Edition.Mine

I have don't have a DSI and I agree that 3DS is thge worst platform to play minecraft on!!

I think that's a great substitute to minecraft for DSI.
Just play this because there's no way of it getting on DSI/3DS.
